This is the Best vacuum cleaner ever. You can use it everywhere, it's lightweight, and so functional. Great value for the money. There's an app that shows you everything you need to know on how to use, clean, or even troubleshoot anything about it. It's so quiet. No cords! No hassles, No Bags! Just easy cleaning, just store it in a corner, plug it in and it's ready for the next time. I love it!. Read more

Ordered this to replace an old Dyson handheld, it would only last a couple of minutes even in extended run mode. This one is awesome, great suction, great battery life, great accessories! Couldn't be happier. This thing is the Iphone of vacuums, works well, easy to use, and absolutely destroys any other vacuums. It filters the air going through really well, tested it myself with a fog machine and no smoke/fog would come out the other end. This thing is great for vacuuming at home, your car, and any other case. It's easy to use, powerful, and battery lasts forever! I used this to clean two cars fully without recharging and it still had plenty of charge left! I am very thorough with cleaning and do double, triple, and quadruple passes to clean everything to the max. Best vacuum ever. Read more

I LOVE my Dyson. You couldn’t pry it from my cold dead hands. 😆 I have two bogs and a baby rolling around, and this keeps the carpets very clean. The amount of dirt I get out of the rugs every time I vacuum is insane! The battery life is good, enough to do my small house in one charge. (1250 sqft, for reference). I’ve used this for a couple years now, and have had no issues with the quality of the materials, and the battery life is holding up. Read more

This vacuum is so lightweight, yet sucks up everything so well that it is really unbelievable. I've bought countless vacuums over the years. Most that work (suck) well are super heavy or have cords that you have to drag around that come unplugged. This vacuum has a charging cord, but is cord less when using. I am able to vacuum my entire upstairs and downstairs without running even low on battery life. It manuevers easily and is made of really nice quality material. It looks sharp and it is quiet in comparison with others. I could not possibly love the thing more than I do. If you need a vacuum. I HIGHLY recommend this Dyson. Read more

Seriously disappointed in this product. It was NOT inexpensive, and its price has gone up considerably in the time since we bought it. Initially, it seemed to work well, and was easier to lug around than our Dyson Animal—which for someone of 4'9" stature is a serious challenge—though the Animal has cleaned up pet hair, litter, and household dirt quite well for many years. It was the function and longevity of the Animal which prompted our purchase of the V11 Extra for what we thought would be 'ease of. use.' Oh, was that ever a mistake. The honeymoon was over when it came time to empty the unit. (And it needs to be emptied often!) It's awkward to empty, and makes an awful mess in the process. It has to be taken outside, otherwise the chamber spews dirt everywhere you've just cleaned. But here's the thing, we kept blaming ourselves for having so much pet hair… whereas it's the vacuum's fault for its poor, or now non-existent performance. And forget about picking up kibble or litter most of which it just spits right back out. It's just really badly designed. After a month of light use, it began showing the 'clogged pipe' icon. But the pipe was not clogged. We thought a dirty filter might be triggering it, but it still displayed right after filter-cleaning. Then we began reading comments on the internet. We were not the only frustrated ones. Giving this a '1 Star' is generous. Don't waste your money. Read more
The Particular Discerner—April 5, 2025
Battery powered vacuums are hamstrung by their design criteria. The need for small size and light weight compel the use of small motors, small dust bins, compact filters and light batteries. If size were no object, each of these measures would be as "big" as possible. The design demands cause there to be numerous compromises whether relating to suction level, dirt holding capacity or battery life. The reason this review is 4 stars rather than 5 is because AS A GENERAL PURPOSE VACUUM, this unit falls considerably below what you can achieve with a plug-in canister or upright vacuum. However, comparing this unit to other STICK VACUUMS, the rating would be 5 stars because the Dyson is remarkable in how it addresses the design compromises without giving much up in the process. It picks up lint and debris amazingly well. The main operational down-side with stick vacuums is that you are constantly having to dump the dump the dust bin every room or two. Thankfully, the battery has plenty of capacity to process a normally sized U.S. home between recharges. The internal logic of the vacuum identifies when the filters need to be cleaned or the battery recharged. Functionally, it gets an A+ as a stick vacuum. Durability is yet to be proven. There have been zero problems with the unit over the past year since purchase. However, the heavy carpet and long suction tube put a lot of leverage on the plastic connection where it mates with the power head. I have to believe that will prove the weak point of the vacuum but, in all fairness, there has been no failure during relatively frequent use. As to value, this is something that you need to decide for yourself. I am normally a value shopper but in this instance I am glad that I paid extra to end up with a Dyson stick vacuum. There is a robust aftermarket in filter and other parts besides the battery, which is a major expense however you replace it. Overall, this is a fantastic unit that I can recommend without much reservation. Many use these as an auxiliary to a much larger corded family vacuum. Read more
