This one is a winner and I'm probably going to buy one or two additional ones (okay, at least one). I'm using this one in one of my cars, but I think I'd like one for my desk, too. You can absolutely use this in places other than your car. Hey, mount it to the back of your best friend's head, if you like...okay, maybe not (unless they're a really, really good friend!) This is one of those items that has more than exceeded what I had/have expected of it. To think how many mounts and or chargers that have failed me over the years. This charging mount puts all of those to shame. This is literally the first mount/charge that I have used that works perfectly. I also expect this to last a really long time. As with anything I review, I look for any flaws possible so that I can note them. I can't think of anything...not even something that could become or is a potential flaw. I really can't. The charging mount is also very refined and high end looking, so I wouldn't think twice about spending the $27 for this. This is something I pretty much never say, but even if this cost a little more, it'd still be worth it. The phone holder/charger is incredibly sturdy and it will magnetically hold your phone in place; with an amazing amount of force. At the same time, you'll be able to easily lift your device right off when you're done using the mount. Place your phone on when you get in your car and lift it up when you leave your car. If you don't need the charging function, or just want occasional charging capabilities, you can do that, too. This is very well worth it, just for how nice the phone holding/mounting aspects of it are. In other words, even if this didn't charge, it'd still be a great product!! I'm not exaggerating how well this holds my phone in place. You'll see for yourself and be amazed. There are no knobs to tighten either. It will just articulate however you need it to. This is a simple charger/mount, yet quite versatile. You'll be able to get your phone situated in any position that works best for you. Might take a few minutes of playing around, but you only have to deal with this set up once. Eakson has even given you some additional items to make sure that this mount/charger will work for you. Like, if your phone or phone case doesn't have a magnetically compatible backing, that's no issue. This charger comes with a strong adhesive ring to stick on the back of your phone or case. Then, if your vehicle doesn't have a nice smooth area that can support a suction cup, then that's no problem either. They've included a plastic disc for the charger/mount to attach to. They've even given you a couple of wipes to make sure that whatever surface you put this on is clean. I know their description emphasizes the iPhone, but with the included magnetic/adhesive case ring, this will work with any phone, at least as a mount. I can't guarantee it will charge any phone out there, but it'll do a great job at least holding it for you. In my included pictures, those are just of the device and what comes with it. I hadn't yet mounted it when I took those. However, I am writing all of this after I did mount it and get some good use out it. Just some friendly advice (this is all probably obvious), if you use any of the adhesive components (and this is really for anything relating to adhesive), make sure the mounting surface is extremely clean and dry. Press the adhesive part to the device or whatever and hold it firmly in place for a minute or two. Give it maybe 12 hours to a day after that, just to give things a chance to bond fully. That's probably not necessary, but this practice has always worked well for me. Also, if you're a real "neat-freak" like me, then look around on amazon for some wire/cable holding clips. Then you can route the cable neatly. Oh yeah, the part of the cable that plugs into the charging mount is USB-C and the other end is a regular USB-A, so it should work fine in any car. Given how many charging mounts amazon has, it's overwhelming to look through all of them. Don't bother. You've found your new charging mount right here. Get it. This wireless car charger is also a MagSafe holder for your phone with a locking suction holder. Wow! Solved my issue in needing a handsfree holder for my phone while driving. The suction mount attached securely to my dash in a position which allows me to turn it too. The mount comes with a USB cable which can plug into a power plug you supply. This is a bonus because if I want to use it in the house, I can use a power cube and plug it into a power source. The mount is very secure in that you twist the base which locks the suction.
