This vest from Enovi is very comfortable to wear for walking, cardio, core workouts or running (I didn't try it for running - I want to preserve my aging knee joints and ankles). The 8 lbs weight is enough to keep your bones strong and as a prevention from osteoporosis with aging, and to not overwhelm your body to the point of causing back pain. It is also a great tool to improve your balance. I also like to wear it during household chores - cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, etc. I have noticed that this vest helps me maintain better posture. The vest is adjustable and fits very well. The back cellphone pocket is a joke. It is not reachable without taking the vest off, and there's no way I would entrust my cellphone to it while walking in public parks, where someone could easily snatch it away. It would be better if mesh pockets were available at the front. But this issue is not a deal-breaker. In addition, you probably need one or two days to let it air out. Upon arrival and removal from the box, it will have quite a strong chemical smell. But after approximately 2 days, it's gone. I like this vest a lot! I now own this eight pound vest and another brand that is ten pounds. I figured I would start with eight and see how it goes. I've always had a weak back and maybe this will help and also better workouts through walking. I think the eight pound weight is a good starting point for me. The vest is good quality and is adjustable and easy and comfortable for carrying extra weight. I will not be using the cell phone pocket, I'd rather keep my phone in my hand than struggle trying to reach for it in the back. I think these weighted vests are a great idea and this one feels durable and should last a good while. The vest had a little smell but it has gone away. This weighted vest is made of high quality material. The stitching throughout the vest is done very well and should hold up for a long time. The reflective strips will make dusk/morning more safe as you are more visible. Using the vest for even squats and stretching you really feel a good workout. My wife said this fit better than other ones. Saying it fits the woman's body a lot better than some other brands. The buckle on the strap seems robust and not a cheap flimsy one that feels like it will break. The back pocket is the only complaint.
