This backpack works like a carryon suitcase! I absolutely put it through the wringer on its first use and it held up so well!! I was shocked how much I packed in this bag and STILL had room. While it was certainly heavy on my back due to how much I packed, the thick shoulder straps were quite comfortable and made carrying it so much easier. I love all the pockets (especially the ones intended for security!) and how easy it is to find something in the main compartment, given that it zips up like a suitcase (meaning, you don’t have to dig for something at the bottom of the bag). Love love love the color, too. Fits perfectly underneath the seat in front of me, which spares me from having to use an overhead compartment and keeps the flight attendants happy. I tested it on a domestic trip but it was so amazing that I plan to use it on an upcoming international trip! **UPDATE: Since my review, I used this backpack on my international trip and have used it for several other trips since. It is the real MVP!! It has held up super well, and for one such trip, I was even able to pack a whole weekend’s worth of items in it - including some outfit options. (You know us girls!) I looked at a lot of packs before I chose this one. It’s well designed, sturdily built, and holds a remarkable amount of gear. There are adequate pockets for stowing small items. The straps are comfortable… maybe not enough for a 10-mile hike, but certainly good enough for a run through the airport. It’s an excellent value. Read more

I’ve been looking for the “perfect” travel backpack for several years. I had one that was big, barely fit under the airplane seat, and had a zillion pockets, but was too many pockets. I have a smaller one, but I can’t put many clothes in it. But this travel backpack is great! The exterior is clean and water resistant. The zippers are all smooth. The bag fully unzips so you can lie it flat. I use packing cubes, and you can fit several in each side (depending on the size you’re using). The color I ordered (I would call it orchid—sort of light purple) is exactly as shown. It seems to be high quality, and that it will last a long time. There are multiple pockets. I appreciate that it has pockets in places that make sense (including a hidden pocket on the side, which is perfect for your passport or wallet). The straps are also very comfortable, even when the bag is quite full. I could easily carry my bag through the airport, and endure long lines, without difficulties. Plus there are straps to tighten the whole bag and get it as condensed as you’d like . I could easily pack a week of travel in this bag (or more depending on what kind of packer you are). This fit nicely under my seat on Delta flights. It holds a lot and became too heavy for me to use as a backpack (I'm 70). I used the luggage sleeve and that worked well. I bought this back pack to do some out of the country travel. It has a generous exterior water bottle holder. It opens like a small suitcase, yet can be accessed via the top like a traditional backpack. There are two mesh zipper sections inside. There is a second generous zipper pocket that opens from the top. There is a zipper pocket for your phone and can also hold charging block. There are other zipper pockets to hold miscellaneous items. There is a top and side carrying handle and a band across the back to allow it to attach to the handle of a rolling suitcase. The backpack shoulder straps are well placed and padded for comfort. The exterior material is attractive and durable. I used this to travel from car to plane to bus to a van. There are 2 adjustable clasps on each side to make the bag compact enough to easily fit under a plane seat and meet personal item requirements of the airlines. I highly recommend this back pack as it is attractive, functional and utilitarian. The teal color I purchased coordinated nicely with my hard sided Samaonite luggage. Read more
