This umbrella definitely feels sturdier than most. It is a little longer and heavier, but the cover isn't just mesh (therefore keeping your bag or floor drier) and even has a carabiner for hands-free carrying. It does a great job of keeping me dry. My only caveat is that you should take care near obstacles, because tilting it to get past trees occasionally results in 1-2 drips coming under the top flap. But given everything else, that's minor, and I expect many years of use. Read more

I don't write a lot of reviews, but this umbrella is really nice. It is larger than other umbrella's I have had. It is sturdy, well made and covers sufficiently. Even the cover is sturdy and well made. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this umbrella if your looking for a quality umbrella. Read more

We got the "green" which was a pretty blue teal...okay by me! Even though the 54" is sold as 2 person, that doesn't take into account sitting on two camp chairs in the rain at an outdoor concert. And though the wind/air vents sound good, we had some rain (without wind) drip on us through the vents. We liked the dual option to open and close but found bringing it down to lock into place got harder and harder....and my husband is a strong dude. 1) if looking for true 2 person, go larger. 2) keep an eye out at venting. 3) be prepared to have some muscles to close for storing.
