EGR Upgraded 9000mAh V8 Battery Replacement Compatible with Dyson V8 Animal Battery Replacement V8 Absolute Motorhead Fluffy SV10

I have a Dyson V8 and the battery has been starting to run down a lot sooner. I got this which has a higher capacity. It came with the battery along with replacement screws, a screw driver and replacement filters for the intake and exhaust. The install was very simple, remove the three screws and the battery comes out very easily. Put the new one in it's place and replace the screws. While it came with replacement screws, I just used the original ones. They were a little longer. There is one screw on the handle and two under the hatch at the bottom (see pics) The replacement battery looks very similar with a few minor differences that you can't see once it's installed. The new battery does have a little rubber bumper patch that sits flush at the bottom which is a nice touch. Although the battery has a higher capacity, it's not any larger. The battery feels well made very similar to the original one. The replacement filters seem just fine, similar to other aftermarket ones I've used in the past. I charged it overnight and used it until the battery was exhausted. It ran a very long time I didn't time it but it was almost twice as long if I had to guess. Normally I can do the steps and the upstairs and a little bit of the downstairs before the battery ran down, when it was new. With this replacement I did that but also the basement, basement stairs the whole downstairs and it was still going. I did all the corners and went over a few places because I wanted to run it all the way down before recharging. TLDNR? Easy to install, quality made and lasts a very long time, worth the price. update: 1/1/26 I've been using the new battery for a little while now. It's still working well and lasts a long time. The battery lasts pretty long. I tend to run out of steam before the battery does. I use to do most of the house on regular power and a few high traffic area spots on max. Now I can do the whole house then switch to MAX and do most of the house again. More often than not I finish before the battery is exhausted. Read more

I purchased this V8 replacement battery after having mixed experiences with a cheaper one before. Saved a ton of money with this purchase. Looked at the OEM replacement price and my jaw hit the floor. Absolutely ridiculous. After a bit of research, I purchased this instead. It was fairly easy to install. Just be patient and careful, as some of the plastic tabs fit just right into the assembly. It worked fine out of box, seems to be fully compatible, and gets light use over time (4-5 minutes each use, a few times per week). We've been using it for a 2 months now. No issues. Lasted 14 months. No longer holding a charger like the OEM battery. Worked great for long time. But recently only runs for two minutes in “max” mode. May replace wall charger next time with battery. But charge controller is built in battery so doubt the wall adapter is the culprit. Read more

OK, this never happens, but I am rushing to write this review. Last week I purchased this replacement battery for my 10-yr. old V6 Motorhead that only ran for 5 minutes on a full charge. I was considering trashing it for a new one but decided to try this first. It was seriously simple to install and I let it charge for a full day before using. Tonight I was just going to test it to see how long it would run, and I ended up vacuuming my entire house and it was still going! I forgot to take a picture before dumping, but the previously empty bin was completely filled with dust and debris, and I had vacuumed with another of my (4) Dysons only days before. This is the best $35 I have ever spent. My machine runs better and more powerful than brand new and I have spare filters to boot. Don’t hesitate or wonder what if. Just do it! You will not be sorry.
