I switched routers and all my smart plugs stopped working. Bluetooth was the answer. They setup was very easy and work great. I only had 1 issue it would periodically turn off and on again. I thought it might be an electrical issue but it's not its a Bluetooth issue. My game controller is Bluetooth and sometimes causes interfaces. I can definitely live with that. Great price. Read more
When I upgraded my Wifi from 2.4GB to 5GB, suddenly my smart plugs didn't work anymore. It was crazy how hard it was to find smart plugs that were compatible with a 5BG connection, but I finally found these, and they work like magic!! I believe they CAN also toggle to function on a 2.4GB network if needed, but that wasn't the goal of buying these so I can't really speak to that. But being that these were the only ones I could find that were compatible with a 5GB connection, I was surprised at how low the price was. Read more
my smart lightbulbs decided they didn't want to work anymore one day after an app upgrade, rather than paying a ton of money for new light bulbs i decided to try the plugs and have been happy with the results. Paired quickly and without issue on alexa. Read more
Update on Aug 20 2025: I would like to setup Away Mode for the lights connected to Alexa through the smart plugs, however, due to the bug of Amazon Alexa App, the "mode page" can't be loaded and I can't setup the Away mode no matter what. This is a big downside for me since I have business trips quite often and need the lights to be on and off randomly, and forces me to buy the smart plugs from the brands which have their own APP to control and setup modes. Watch out for what you need. ----------------------------------------------------------- Before you buy this product, make sure you have Alexa echo since it needs Alexa echo as hub to connect. Once you have Alexa echo, it's super easy to setup with bluetooth. I bought few smart plugs with wifi connection which are more complicated to setup than this product. In addition, the bluetooth can connect this product and Alexa echo within 32 feet which enlarges the control capability for the devices you want to link to Alexa echo. Not to mention the price is so affordable with 4 units in a package which is cheaper than those smart plugs with wifi connection. Highly recommended. Read more
These smart plugs were VERY easy to set up. I simply plugged them into the outlet, plugged my Christmas decor into the smart plugs and used Alexa to find my deviceβ and set up automatically. I created a routine with Alexa so that when I come home I just say βMerry Christmasβ and all my Christmas decorations light. No remote needed. βAnd to all a good nightβ and my lights go out. No hub needed. I have both 2g and 5g internet and I didnβt need to make any adjustments. Hint: set up as a plug, not the light option it gives you. Otherwise it will turn on/off other lights as well. Complete garbage! I plugged them in and spent an hour trying to connect them to alexa and they would not connect. Installed a different Amazon alexa and those worked fine. This product is no good. Bought a 4 pack and all 4 of them would do the same. Read more
Went thru Alexa HELL trying to get smart plug to work until I found the Eightree smart plug that uses Bluetooth. It took a couple of minutes and IT WORKED paired up right away !! Now if I could only figure the ALEXA APP (which I rate as 1 star) I will really be happy and maybe could use Alexa for more that turning on/off a light. Read more
Doesn't always connect to Alexa app. Most of the time they work correctly, but every once in a while I have to reset in the smartlife app in order for the Alexa app to ve able to communicate with the product. Not a big deal, but frustrating. Read more
