I was so sick of digital scales giving a different reading every five seconds, and I have a hard time reading the old analog ones anymore. This is the first scale I've had in a long time that just feels honest. I like that it has both the digital number and the classic dial. The digital part is quick and clear, but I usually find myself looking at the needle. There's just something about it that feels more definite. The whole display is big enough that I can actually see it in the morning, which is nice. It feels really sturdy, too. The glass is thick, and it doesn't feel cheap or wobbly when I step on it. It's just a well-built thing. I'm just glad to have a scale that works without any fuss. No frills, no nonsense. It does what it's supposed to do, and does it well. A good basic scale. Nothing fancy if you only want to monitor weight. Read out is good. Quite sensitive (my one complaint is sometimes it won't "settle" if you are not perfectly still). Read more

I received the blue (more of a teal) today. The batteries are in the styrofoam edging on the top part of the scale. Had I not picked it up when it fell of during unpacking, I would not have noticed the batteries. Maybe stamp the styrofoam with batteries and an arrow on both sides and top would help, otherwise customers may be throwing them away needlessly. I like how clean and thin it is. Feels sturdy when standing on it. Like the color, reminds of some of the colors in the ocean. I do notice there is about 3 lbs. difference between the analog and digital reading. Analog is less. So maybe on days I feel heavier, I’ll go by the analog weight!! 😃 I didn’t feel the difference was enough to knock it to a 4 star. Again, could be a positive, lol. I did notice on some of the other customer pics there was a difference as well. Anyway, it will do the job it was intended for.
