I was initially excited about getting an electric knife sharpener instead of a basic one like AccuSharp that I have used previously. Unfortunately, this one (LEFUGO) turned out to be unusable in comparison. It may seem good enough for people who don't know how a sharp knife should feel, so it may seem like this sharpener sharpens your knife, but it is nothing in comparison to others. It has several key problems: 1. It sharpens only one side of the knife at a time, so you have to sharpen each side separately, pulling the knife through multiple times, each side at an angle. It may not seem like a problem, but you simply cannot know at what angle to pull the knife. You can press the knife against the groove that is supposed to guide your angle, but it does not really do much. You end up sharpening each side unevenly and somewhat scratching one side here and another side there, while what you actually need is to sharpen both sides at the same time, creating a single sharpened edge. 2. I do not know how much pressure to apply against the sharpening stone, and generally no matter what I do, I can never tell whether the knife is being sharpened or just brushed off, or sharpened barely, lightly, or properly. You just “sharpen” it without any awareness of whether it is being sharpened and how strongly. What comes out is not sharpened much. 3. The instructions are very basic and not helpful. They include a QR code to a video with supposed instructions, but the video is a marketing video that explains absolutely nothing about how to use this device, how much pressure to apply, how to tell whether the knife is being sharpened properly, how to test the sharpness, etc. The video just shows how the device looks, which is ridiculous because I can look at it myself without needing a video. 4. I tested sharpening a knife that I then tried to use to cut pork belly, which does require a very sharp knife. I could barely cut it, and the meat was more pulled apart than cut. Then I tested sharpening the same knife using a simpler and cheaper AccuSharp sharpener, and only then could I slice my pork belly like butter. The difference was night and day. Therefore, even though the idea behind LEFUGO is nice, I do not think I will ever use it. I am thinking of returning it instead. Read more

Knife sharpener came new from factory with grinding wheels not aligned with blade slots. Left's blade slots for coarse and fine grind wheels were offset to Right. Resulting in Right side of knife blades being ground, not the edge. Right's blade slots for coarse and fine grind wheels were also offset to Right.
