I specifically wanted "push button" rechargeable salt and pepper grinders because I've had the kind with the batteries which are difficult to maintain especially if one doesn't work, then I find myself messing with batteries and trying and re-trying, taking them apart, reassembling them, etc.,so these rechargeable grinders are a godsend and a game changer.. The kind with batteries are also hard to clean because they're not one solid unit like these are. These are fantastic! These rechargeable grindersare lightweight when they arrive, andeasy to fill from the top. You will need to turn the top opening slightly to the left to release it, and then pull it open. My 9yo grandson had to show me that. My fingers don't work as they used to when I was younger, so I'm unable to use grinders the old-fashioned way, (twisting), so this push button grinding is able to give me fresh ground salt and pepper with an easy press of my thumb on the button whenever needed. Does salt and pepper grinder,set is relatively quiet with a soft grinding sound, and a small, shining,light at the bottom where the salt and pepper come out onto the food. Charging these grinders was extremely easy, and the little charging unit stand is provided with a C charger which you can connect into the back of the charging unit, and a USB connection on the other end for the wall connection. There is no charging brick provided these days as is normal, but I have plenty of those already and I also have a multi-chargingadapter which I previously bought from Amazon for any charging I do these days so I don't really use bricks anymore. I highly recommend this set of grinders because they're easy, beautiful, functional, and real game changer for finger dexterity if that's a challenge. These were purchased to replace a set that was 4+ years old. I had gone through all the reviews and landed on this set. The amount of salt and peppercorns you can fill the shakers with is outstanding. To be able to adjust the size of the grind is easy to do, and its functionality is great. Currently the charging unit it put away since we have them in our cabinet, but the option to bring it out for company really makes them stand alone. It has a nice feel when you hold it, doesn't slide, the button is easy to push and over all they are very durable. I would even consider these as a gift for the holidays. Read more
