I’m very happy with this!! I have two large dogs that are scared to get their nails done with clippers or other grinders. I kept training sessions very short. On one dog, I could do three nails. The best compliment I can give these is that one of our dogs flat our refuses to let us clip her nails. She's a big dog and the fight is on whenever it needs to happen. With these grinders we were successfully able to trim them down using a grinding method rather than a clipping method. The instant he laid eyes on clippers, he would use his claws to push them away. I was able to sit on the rug with this grinder, let him smell it for a minute, and then switch it on with his paw resting on my palm. The fact that he glanced at it without running away was already a significant improvement over our standard procedure. Because of the more moderate response, I felt more confident in taking my time instead of rushing through each nail. In actual reality, the design of the cordless phone has proven to be more important than I had anticipated. I was able to sit in whichever place the dog felt most comfortable in rather than attempting to position him in close proximity to an outlet since I was able to freely move about the dog without having to deal with a cable. On one weekend, I completed the work on his front paws in the living room, which is the place where he enjoys taking naps. I also finished the work on his rear paws next to his bed, all of which was done under the same charge. I have never had the feeling that I was confined to one location, and that freedom of movement made the whole procedure seem more laid-back for both of us.
