I have been using Tianji soup pot for more than 5 years. I have an old pot in my home, but I think it’s too big for me, so I was looking for a smaller soup pot when I bought this one. I love Tianji soup pot because it's a long life item without any problem in my old pot. However, I was considering whether this pot can work as long as my old pot when I received it because this pot inside is made with plastic material (my old Tianji pot inside is made with stainless steel material). I’m a picky person, so I don’t like the inside plastic material. Even though this item has a ceramic stew pot, I still prefer stainless steel material inside, but I don’t find any small soup pot like my old soup pot which is made with stainless steel. I needed a small soup pot anyway, so I bought it. I had used this item the first 2 times and it still has plastic sense, but I will keep it because the sense is getting lighter in the third time. If Tianji sells a small soup pot for 1-2 people with stainless steel material instead of plastic, I will buy it again, and I think more people are looking for the item made with stainless steel material as I considered. The product is excellent and innovative and I simply love it. But I gave a 4 instead of 5 because it needs some improvement such as the manual writing is hard to understand even when I read in Chinese and control buttons are difficult to understand. However, the product company customer service is very responsive to my questions and feedback. They told me that they forwarded my issues to the product group which will incorporate feedback from customers into the next upgrade. If you can wait, you're better off to get the next generation of the product with improvement. I'm a Chinese and I use this cooker three times a day. For breakfast porridge, I schedule it the night before. After breakfast, I schedule chicken soup for lunch. After lunch, I schedule rice for supper. It's hard to get the inner pot out of the base, esp. when it's hot. I got a dish taker (or metal hand as I call it) from a local Chinese store, but the hand is too big to reach in. I suggest to the company that they should include a metal hand. I also know it's a matter of time that I will break the inner pot. Fortunately, the replacements are available from the company. For example, the inner pot is $25 with free shipping. I'd love to get another one if thye offer different color. the inner pot is elegant white like bone china and can be used as a serving container on the dinner table. Also, the inner pot is small enough to be used by one person as an eating container. Very versatile. Read more
