I am doing a remodel on several rooms in our home, and we decided to integrate some USB ports into our electrical outlets since devices that use this to charge or operate are so prevalent. I researched quite a few products online and also looked at some in the local blue and orange home improvement stores. The cost in the big box stores were pretty high, averaging about $21-$23 per outlet! So it was pretty clear that since I needed at least 10 units, that the big box option was a no-go! Came across these and looking at the reviews on them, decided it was a pretty good deal at the given price point of approximately half what they would cost purchased locally. The outlets appear to be of good quality, they have both standard USB and USB C ports and the install was easy. Since my wiring is mostly 12 gauge, I was a little concerned that the outlets might not readily accommodate the heavier gauge wiring as it seems the lighter 14-gauge wire is becoming more prevalent as some products are no longer completely supporting the heavier wiring or at least so it seems. The outlets handled the larger wire easily and the rest of the install was straight forward. The units come with a decent faceplate and the necessary mounting hardware. I do recommend that if you have never worked with AC power and installing outlets, you either read up on it before starting or hire a professional to do the work for you. That being said, I would recommend these to qualified DIY'ers! Good quality and great price! Read more
