The best iPad stand I tried

CraigOctober 11, 2024

I bought a bunch of stands to try to use clipped to my bed frame. This one was not only the easiest to set up but also the easiest to maneuver and possibly the sturdiest, overall. It also can fold up to be quite compact when not in use, which I think is nice. The best thing about this stand is how simple it is. Most other tablet stands either have a neck that can bend into any position, but require a bunch of finesse or they have many joints that need to be adjusted individually to move them into a certain position. This one basically avoids those problems altogether since it freely pivots at each joint. The top arm also can be angled up and down up to a 90 degree angle. This makes it so easy to clip to the side of the bed and move it into any position as you need it or push it off to the side when you don’t need it. You can’t tighten the individual joints, but you don’t need to cause the tension seems to be just right. Also it feels very sturdy and well made since it isn’t using cheap plastic like many others. My only criticisms are that it is slightly on the expensive side and that because of the design, it has to be clipped to the SIDE of a desk or table or bed frame. It can’t be clipped to the top of a headboard, for example, since gravity would force it to flop down. These are minor issues though. I think it is well worth it. Read more

Does what it supposed to amazingly.

This is an excellent iPad holder, I have an iPad Pro 15” and it holds it perfectly, I have purchased the ones with the goose neck before and the bounce around a lot and eventually start to sag down and you are constantly pushing them back up. This is strong no movement only when you want it moved. I highly recommend this. Read more

Seems pretty sturdy and well made

Just got this today. Seems solidly made. My only issue is that my iPad Pro 12.9 takes a second person to help me put it in the holder Read more

Perfect for tablets!

AlexJanuary 16, 2026

Really useful product. Sturdier and more versatile than your standard gooseneck clamp mount but cheaper and smaller than a real monitor arm. Used to hold a Legion Go 2 tablet and it's able to support the weight without issue. I imagine it could handle even larger devices just as well. Read more

This is the tablet stand I've been looking for

KodaiJuly 28, 2025

Easy to assemble. The arms pivots are slick enough that the base clamp won't loosen when you swing the arms out of the way. The vertical adjustment are stiff enough to not let a tablet sag, but not so stiff that they aren't relatively easy to move. The tablet holding clamp is strong enough to hold a full sized tablet in portrait mode without it sliding. It's all stable enough to allow typing with minimal shaking. I've had several of these and there's always some shaking. The tablet clamp is well padded to prevent damage. The slots in the side of the tablet clamp is large enough to attach a charging cable to my phone with the case left on. The main downside to this is the price, being the most expensive clamp style tablet holder I've seen, but I guess this is a case where you pay for quality. Also, it doesn't use the standard ball & socket attachment for the tablet clamp, meaning that if anything goes wrong, the whole thing will have to be replaced rather than just the tablet clamp. My only concern is with its durability. The 2 main horizontal swivels are plastic-on-metal so I wonder how long they'll last. If it's at least a year I'll call it good. Looking into the vertical extension that I didn't use, I see that the plastic has a metal core and that it was glued in place, so it's not replacable. Read more

This should be a 5* mount, but one fatal flaw ruins it.

John & NicoleNovember 24, 2025

[UPDATE] I felt the need to come back and update my review, and unfortunately lower it to 1 star. I have to retract my statement about the plastic part that mates the arm to the holder as being the only flaw. I had to find a different arm to purchase, because I really didn't want to get a replacement of the same arm, because this broke way too easily. Unfortunately there was a shipping delay on the new arm I ordered, and I absolutely needed a functioning arm immediately. So I resorted to using some very powerful glue to temporarily put this one back together, and much to my further disappointment, in just a few days the arm has developed an extremely annoying sag. It wasn't doing this at all the first few days. I believe I saw one other reviewer showing a video of the exact sag I'm experiencing now. Its totally unacceptable how quickly this sag developed. It felt like they calibrated the joints so well from the factory that it didn't require any ability to adjust the tension. Boy was I wrong! I'd steer clear of this arm. I finally thought I found the perfect desk mount for my tablet. The build quality felt like perfection, mostly due to its durable, anodized aluminum construction. I was initially concerned about the joints not having adjustable tension, because similar arms I've bought either sagged disappointingly or were too stiff. However, the manufacturer truly nailed it here. They've perfectly pre-tensioned the arms to that "Goldilocks Zone" where it holds firm yet moves smoothly, needing absolutely no adjustment. But alas, this otherwise amazing arm has one truly fatal flaw. (The images show it best.) Despite all the heavy-duty components, the manufacturer chose to go incredibly cheap on the single most critical component: the connector that mates the main arm to the tablet mount! I couldn't believe it...so much quality engineering, ruined by a flimsy plastic clip in the exact spot that handles the most frequent movement and stress. I've only had this for two days. As a disabled individual who relies on a bedside cart and mount to use my tablet hands-free, finding a reliable solution is essential. I genuinely thought this was it. That hope shattered tonight when I went to slightly adjust the tablet's height and heard a loud SNAP! The flimsy plastic teeth holding the mount to the arm broke right off...my tablet and the mount were in my hands, broken off of the arm. What a tremendous shame. If Elithood would replace this single plastic piece with the same quality aluminum used throughout the rest of the construction, this would undoubtedly be a 5-star, best-in-class product. Unfortunately, as it is, it's a critical failure... Read more
