This is a great reasonably priced Alarm clock/Radio/Speaker/Wireless Charger. While this is technically an alarm clock I would encourage anyone who wants a non-portable speaker and wireless charging pad to consider this. I bought this to listen to stuff in my kitchen & it's been a great experience so far. The display shows small icons for the alarms, if it's currently AM, if the radio is active, if Bluetooth pairing is active, if the AUX mode is active, if snooze is active, if your device is being charged wirelessly, if the backup battery needs replacing as well as the day of the week underneath. For the display, you have 4 brightness settings that can be very easily changed and imo the color tone of the time/day is pleasant to look at. Above the display is a button range with about 10 well-placed buttons for various options. The 3 buttons you are most likely to use are on the far left, center & far right and the center button doubles as a volume knob. You can also use a couple of buttons to cycle through songs on your phone while in Bluetooth mode. It's also worth mentioning in the rear there's a radio antenna cable, an AUX port & a 2.1A/5V USB-C charging port. Also the smartset functionality depends on an integrated back-up battery but again the display will show a small icon when the battery needs replacing. For the alarm clock you have 2 alarms that can be set to a buzzer or the radio & you can choose to set them for Mon-Fri or just Weekends. You can choose alarm volumes in a range between 1-16 (same range for radio, Bluetooth & AUX) and the center button on the button console will snooze the alarm for 9 minutes at a time. Regarding the radio functionality it works well as you can place the antenna as you need to and it's easy to figure out how to setup and use. You have the option to save 20 radio station frequencies and can easily cycle through all 20. If you choose to manually cycle frequencies it can take a few minutes as it stops every .1 of a FM frequency but it's not really an issue if you set preset stations. The speaker is good though to be honest I'm not an audiophile. It seems fairly punchy & loud as it is capable of outputting some bass though in balance with the other sound aspects. Of course it's not going to hold a candle against an actual sound system but I think most people would appreciate the speaker quality. Also you can choose to have the built-in LED strip light up w/ your music although it's more of a gimmick feature tbh as you only get a relatively small strip. Still it's fun to have if you enjoy things like that. Read more

The media could not be loaded. The first Emerson radio I had I purchased when I was in college in 2004. I really liked that radio a lot and it has served me well for 20 years. However, the radio had degraded over time and it was necessary for me to replace my old clock radio. I looked for a long time online to find an AM/FM Clock radio to replace the one I currently had. Most of the clocks that I looked at had to mix of good and bad reviews, so I ended up deciding to purchase another Emerson Radio just because I had loved my first one for so long. I would’ve preferred to purchase a product that was made in the United States, but I was not able to find a Clock radio that was manufactured in the United States available for purchase on Amazon. This clock radio does not have an AM radio, and while I don’t really listen to the AM stations, I always like to have a radio with AM in case of an emergency. After I purchased this radio, I just decided to purchase an emergency radio for my emergency needs should those arise. This is a wonderful upgrade from my radio from 20 years ago. The sound quality is wonderful! That’s all I really wanted it for since I wake up to the classical radio station every single day. This has other features like colorful lights, it’ll charge your phone, it can connect to your phone, and do various other things as well. The only thing I really wanted it for was the clock and an alarm that would wake me up to the Classical Music music station. This is the first day that I have had this radio so it could still go downhill, but I’m optimistic. It seems well-made, the reception is excellent, and the sound quality is awesome. It comes with an antenna, but I didn’t need to unfold it and move it around to get a good signal. It just it just caught a good signal all on its own. If you’re interested in a radio with great sound that seems well-made this would be a clock radio to look into. I made a video just showing some of the features of this particular model, so you can see for yourself the quality of this small radio. Read more

As an alarm clock and cell phone charger this is an outstanding piece of gear. Brightness of the display is very controllable and the charger is outstanding on my Samsung Galaxy S10 in an Otterbox case. The progressive alarm volume is a nice enhancement. If you read the directions, the controls are easy to learn. What I dislike about it is the weak radio. It only captures about 4 or 5 of the strongest signals well, out here in the outer suburbs and the sound quality from the speaker is poor. For the price I expected better sound though it does an acceptable job at what I bought it for. Read more

I just hooked it up yesterday. I've always like Emerson clock radios. I bought one 30 years gift for $5 at the 5 and 10 Woolworths. And it lasted for years. This clock radio the alarm starts off very quiet and gets louder and louder which are extremely like. Now I did buy the black one the more expensive one. Now I know the reviews said that the sound was really bad. That's not my experience with this one maybe it's the more expensive one it's clearer with better sound actually he's got excellent sound. Maybe the silver one has a bad sound I can't say either way. But anyway I'm extremely satisfied with this clock radio so far. It worked me up really nice this morning. Both alarms worked excellent. Soon as I plugged it in it set the time and the date. Highly recommend the black one anyway. Read more
