This thing is solid. I wanted something to use in rental cars on vacation. Needed to be removable and flexible since you never know what kind of car you're getting. This thing delivered. The suction has an extra sticky layer on it. The magnets were powerful for my iPhone Pro. I used this on 3 cars on my trip and never had an issue. The arm extends nicely. Only minor issue I had was the nut that adjusts the arm would sometimes slowly come loose so had to keep it tightened every so often. Pro-tip: if you plan to remove the mount for any reason, save the little round piece of cellophane that you remove from the suction cup so that you can keep the sticky surface clean. Read more

Summary: Powerful magnet. It works great on a MagSafe case for my Pixel 8. RECOMMENDED! I have a ball mount on the dash of my 2024 Honda CRV. I have various brackets, from automated, and spring-loaded to clamps. After changing cases to accommodate the different mounts mostly due to sizing issues, I found this magnetic ball mount. It arrived within 2 days (Prime) and it easily replaced my existing mount. This was perfect! It indexes with the MagSafe case the same every time. I can rotate my screen if needed, and there isn't anything that is going to break off. Best of all, I can use other MagSafe cases and it will mount flawlessly, regardless of size/thickness. A very good mount for the price. It doesn't act as a charger--the MagSafe setup is strictly for holding your phone to the mount. However, the magnets are easily strong enough to securely hold my iPhone 13 in its Apple MagSafe case. The included suction cup adheres well to my windshield, at least in our California weather, so no complaints there. Note that the underside of the suction cup is coated with a sticky adhesive, which may not make this mount the best option for moving from car-to-car. I suspect that I would have to use a putty knife to pry the suction cup loose from the windshield. The only real negative on this unit is that it is all plastic, so it is not quite as sturdy as it might be. But mounts in this price range do generally seem to be plastic, so it's a case of getting what you pay for. Just be careful adjusting the knobs on a summer day, when the interior of the car has been hot. I've had knobs like these literally shatter and fall apart in those conditions, so I generally wait until the interior has cooled off before I make any adjustments. With those caveats, I would recommend this mount. Read more

I spend a lot of time traveling in my car for work and I need to have my hands free while I drive to be safe. I have already gone through two other car mounts for my phone before I got to this one. The instructions were very simple and the installation was even more. I would recommend that you clean the dash or windshield before installing the car mount. I like that I have three options to mount the phone holder. I usually keep it on my windshield because its better visibility for me. The suction on this works really well and I can even wash it and it's like new all over again. It also like how I can switch it from horizontal to vertical with ease and the arm extends out very nicely. Works for me really well so far. Read more

I paired this Magsafe head with a phone mount base custom fit to my Mazda CX-5. They work together well. The screw collar on this head is easy to turn, but locks down well so the phone stays where you put it. I regularly drive on bumpy dirt roads, and this magnetic head has kept a grip on my phone and not slipped at all. Read more

First, we tried a couple of different cell phone car mounts. The first one was a wire based one. It was flimsy and the magnet was worthless. We tried another brand with a ball hub configuration, but it would not extend nor would it turn to angles needed. Finally we tried this one, and it is the ideal car mount, strong magnet, very adjustable - which makes it easy on the eyes to drive and still have access to maps, GPS and other common apps.
