It looks as though this will be a good, long lasting machine. Construction seems sound and it makes outstanding Espresso shots . . . once you get it to work. It would not function at all when using the double shot basket. Customer service responded immediately and they sent me an new basket. It has worked flawlessly ever since. I will admit my old Ninja made better regular coffee, but the Espressione is ok for regular coffee. My previous Ninja brand did not make espresso shots and the Ninja died after only 2 years use (my son had same failure experience with the Ninja). I have great hopes for the Espressione, it seems to be a good, solid design and the 19 bar pressure is higher than most home units, which allows the Espressione to make exceptional Espresso Shots; which is the primary reason for my purchase. The heating element has burnt out. We purchased insurance for 3 years. Amazon told me to contact seller support. Contacted seller support. If you send the coffee machine there and then back, the amount will be almost the same as the cost of a new machine. And, if they decide that the breakdown is not subject to warranty, then you need to pay for repairs. We talked and agreed that they would send us a separate heating element if we could install it ourselves. We agreed, received a new element, my husband installed it himself, and the coffee maker started working again. And I worked for another 2 months - and burned out again. Therefore, I do not recommend this coffee machine as it is completely unreliable and will quickly break down. Just one day the area with the coffee container into which the coffee drips during production will stop heating. By the way, the part where express coffee is brewed worked all the time. If you only drink espresso, then you don’t care about the second part of the machine. But then you don't need such a big two-piece machine. We just threw it away. Read more

After researching the few other options for a combination machine and reading reviews, I chose the Espressione machine with trepidation. I have waited to write a review until I had a chance to use it for a few months. Many of the reviews on this machine and the others suggest and sometimes admit that instructions were never read or barely referenced. While the instructions on for the Espressione required some common sense for my full understanding, along with use of the product, they are very useful. Now that I have used the machine in all its modes, I am relieved to say that from my perspective, this is a great little machine. I enjoy using it every day. It brews a consistent, great pot of coffee without undue complication. Cleaning is very simple. The espresso side also works beautifully, for a relatively inexpensive machine. on this side, let it warm up for 10 minutes before using. The steam function works great, as does the hot water stream, if chosen. The main negative is that the carafe leaks a little bit of the condensation from the lid while pouring. I use this machine for coffee, espresso, latte and cappuccino, sometimes more than one choice per day. While out of town for a couple of weeks, I found myself missing my Espressione. Grade A plus!!! Purchased in Sept 2022, once I figured out how to use it I loved it. I enjoy espresso and my partner enjoys regular coffee. A perfect combination machine that fits both our needs! However... After a few months the first issue I had with it was when making espresso the pump would turn on and work normally but the shot would not push through. I eventually realized after some trial and error that I was twisting the portafilter too tight. Which makes no sense that how tight the portafilter is would affect the shot coming through since it is under pressure... Whatever I continued to use it just fine. Now after 8 months, one of two things happens. Either the porterfilter "explodes" or pops off the machine once the pressure is built spewing hot coffee grounds and water every where. Or the pump turns on, nothing comes out and the pump won't turn off and drains back into the reservoir unless you turn off the entire machine. I've cleaned everything, nothing appears to be clogged or broken. Going back to our Black and Decker coffee maker and looking into investing in an espresso machine that actually lasts. Read more

When I opened the box, one of the plastic clips that lock the lid down was broken, but it wasn't worth returning. The machine started out great. Coffee, espresso and milk temperature and taste were all very good. The problem is that it started to malfunction about a year and a half after I started using it. Water started leaking from around the rim in multiple places. Very disappointing. The cost of the machine is not worth only a year and a half worth of use. Read more
