I got the "Type G" for a Malaysia work trip. With "universal sockets" becoming more common, adapters like this are needed far less. That said, I did need it one time, and it paid for itself in that one time of need. It is solid, plugs in fine, and it does have USB ports, which I did not need and did not test at the time. This adapter worked perfectly everywhere we went in Korea! It surprised me that we needed the adapter on Air Canada flights. There were no 110 V plugs on Air Canada airplane except for an outlet that fit this adapter.
