Automation does not control the light properly
Camera is acceptable. Automation... doesn't actually work. In Homekit or their own app, I tell it it when dark out to turn the light on when it sees PEOPLE. It just turns the light on the first time it catches movement from anything and leaves the light on all night. And it turns the light on when it detects people... during the day. This is the case with all three of mine. Yes, I bought three of these extremely expensive things. A contractor stole something extremely valuable from me when one of mine was installed and recording. I realized this occurred about 2 weeks after because I don't take inventory of my stuff every single day like a normal person. I had to flip desperately through the real on a tiny iPhone screen and HOPE to find evidence. Thankfully I did catch him walking to his truck carrying my property... but it took me a solid HOUR to find that. In many, many other instances... a recording that should have occurred either never recorded or disappeared. Lesson learned here is that there is no substitute for a proper security camera system. These are junk. Read more
