The net is super sturdy rope material and it appears to be durable. The fabric pad is very comfortable waterproof material. It comes with a pillow as well. This hammock can comfortably fit two people but relaxing alone is great too! I definitely recommend this hammock for the backyard. If you have kids, they would certainly want to try it but be careful. As with any hammock, there is a tipping over risk if kids are rough with it or jump on it.
