Good product for the price. It's wide and heavy bottomed, and my 12" pot lid fits it well. It heats pretty evenly. Food sticks a little more to it than my cast iron and nonstick pans, so it can be a bit of a hassle to clean after using it for searing steaks and other high-heat cooking. This product is VERY impressive! I cooked professionally in my youth at a very upscale restaurant for many years and have used many pans. I have a gas range burner and often cook with very high heat. My growing concern with "Teflon flu" led me to start being mindful of what I use. I saw this on sale and wanted to give Stainless steel a shot again. For the price.... whats the worst that could happen? This is one of the best pans I've used in a long time. I bought more. (yes, i have various pans including iron, stone, ceramic, and those $150 pans I wont mention.) I used it the first night.. absolutely fantastic! Its important to remember.. in order to make a non-coated pan, non-stick.. heat the pan up, put a drop of water on it, if the water drop beads across the surface its ready. Put some oil in the pan and start cooking. your food will slide across the pan. Anything other than this method will likely result in your food sticking to the pan. Great quality, heavy pan. Doesn't stick if you don't or the get too high and you know to wait for meat to release below trying to move it. It is really heavy though and there is not a handle in the opposite side like some big pans have, so draining it, holding it at an angle to gently scoop something out of it, etc, is very difficult or a 2-person job.
