This bed is a complete game changer my four almost 5 year old German shepherd Krieger, who is 111 pounds tore his ACL playing frisbee two summers back. He slipped on wet grass. He also has degenerative joint disease and arthritis so surgery is not much of an option for us. This orthopedic bed has the perfect amount of firmness and is egg carton shaped under the cover you can tell that the foam is high quality, and now my dog can sleep comfortably without his leg hurting him all the time. He’s a very big Eastern European, purebred, German shepherd, and on top of this bed he looks small I’d say it’s even big enough for a Great Dane! Uses it every day and night the cover comes off so it’s very easy to clean and the foam underneath is one piece of solid, orthopedic egg carton shaped foam so I’m not sure if it can be washed in the washing machine but I’m sure there is a way to wash it. This is a really nice bed. It's thick and yes, orthopedic. My pup is definitely more comfortable in it. It fluffs up so nicely. I have not had any issues with my pup trying to chew this bed so I cannot speak on how that might go. Overall, great bed I did take off one star because The size is 1 inch off on each side.
