I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of these beds/mats. They are thick enough to give some nice cushion. If I had an older or arthritic dog I would probably look for something thicker, just to make sure they were comfortable. But for my young dogs these are perfect, fit perfectly in the nice kennels we also got from Amazon to upgrade the utilitarian metal kennels we've used for decades. We figured if we're going to keep kennels set up, we wanted something that looks nicer. One of my 4 dogs cannot be trusted so we don't ever see us without a kennel. My golden was more than happy to go in, lay on this cushy mat and take a nap. I didn't notice any weird smells either after opening. I'm guessing the dogs didn't either as they used the beds right away. I have always used " throw size" polar fleece blankets in the kennels but the golden like to pull them out and run around. He hasn't done that once with the new mats. The only question will be washing, which I'll probably do once a month or so. I'll take them to the laundry mat and report back if it doesn't turn out well. At this time, I think these are a good choice. Read more

Fits perfectly in my dogs crate. Nice thickness so it should be comfy to lay on, it is pretty soft. Would not recommend if your dog chews on things, the stuffing is weird pieces that would definitely cause blockage. If your dog makes a mess on it, the washer only does so much, you would have to clean it another way. Read more

For 20 bucks I'm not disappointed. Feels more like a pillow than a foam pad, but the dogs seem to like it. I'm happy with the material and it looks and feels like it's made out of good quality fabric. If I was going to change anything I might fill it more, as they are soft but could use more support. Thick quality bed. The padding is thick and not clumpy or foamy and doesn’t disperse in other parts of the pet bed. It’s thick enough to put in a crate without any other blankets or support underneath it. The top of the bed bedding is thick and warm and so far no shedding. I haven’t washed it yet. It fits perfectly in my puppy’s crate and he seems very comfortable in it. I wasn’t sure to expect the way that it came wrapped so tightly, but once it was laid flat, I have no issues with it. If you never need to wash this dog bed, it is great. It fit the crate perfectly and my dog seemed to love it!. However, when my dog got sick on the bed, it was time to try and wash it. I washed it in cold water and dried it on low heat, sadly it shrunk, significantly, and no longer fits correctly in his crate. (Now it has a 2" gap all around) Wish I had washed it before the return period ended. Maybe it will stretch out a little as it defluffs, but looks like I will be buying another bed. Read more
