I had been laboring for YEARS on an ancient (literally an antique), too low for decent eye level desk, using stacks of books and other doo dads to elevate my laptop. My first step towards modernity was replacing an equally ancient chair that had been killing my posture for years with an updated, proper, multi adjustable desk chair with lumbar and head/neck support. Next up was finally doing something about the space wasting, chunky legged, too low table (not even a proper desk)! Kicked my butt into gear and finally started a search here and came across this desk which was the most reasonably priced and in the size dimensions most suitable for my needs. The kit came to me in an amazingly fast time (like around 3 days since ordering) as I don't have Prime. It was pretty darned heavy but not unmanageable. All parts were cleverly packed in a way that it was simply logical when reaching into the box for the next piece. Assembly instructions were easy and clear and I took a little longer than the estimated time as I'm a little OCD about getting everything just right. No rush. In conclusion, at this early point, I am SUPER happy with this desk!! This desk seems to work well. It's not the most sturdy in the world but for my use case it has performed just fine. Assembly wasn't too difficult for me. I got it put together in a little less than an hour. Instructions were pretty clear and all pieces were present. The powered lift works well so far. The motor sounds a little weak but works ok so far. Can't complain considering the price. Will update the review if I have any issues in the future. Read more

This is a very well made product. I have no complaints so far. Everything works and I am using right this very second. The package when it arrived is super heavy so know that in advance. But, that's because the base is made out of metal, which makes this thing very sturdy. I took the parts out of the box downstairs and carried them up a few and up to the upper level. I read through the picture (not text) instructions several times before I started assembly, watched the video (I think it was this product that offers an assembly video - maybe not) and made sure I had all the parts I needed. Everything was accounted for, I understood the instructions and I put it together. I'm not sure how long it took me, not long, so don't let that scare you. Yes, you do need to understand the picture diagrams and I had to look a few times to make sure I understood what it was saying but I put this together with no problems and no need for do-overs. I am really loving this desk, and the design is great. I do wish there had been an option to get the white base with the dark brown/rustic top, but alas no, so I got the black base with rustic top (48") and it looks very professional. The top does come in 2 pieces, which I was worried about because I've read reviews (not sure if it was this product) about the two pieces not lining up, that there was a ridge in the middle or the dowels didn't align. But again, this was made perfectly. Everything lines up and I highly, HIGHLY recommend this one. Also, this does come with wheels and I am running it over carpet, which works very well. It's not stiff or hard to slide around, so the wheels are well made. If anything changes I'll be sure to update this review. Read more
