Yes, it's a basic little stand with a small diameter base, but it is built like a tank. I was shocked to find it can hold a mind-blowing 11 pounds! I have a very heavy condenser mic, and this stand handles it without even blinking. No wobble, no tipping, just solid support. It's perfect for saving space since you don't need a huge clamping area, and the telescoping height is great for micro-adjustments (5.5 to 8.26 inches).
