If you watch a few videos you can figure out how to remove the OEM cover, and install the new cover that contains the dashcam without too much trouble. Wiring is very easy and straight forward with the harness you're given. After you install the Fitcamx app on your phone, you establish your wifi connection. But, you need to MAKE SURE YOU DISABLE ANDROID AUTO FIRST on your phone. The Fitcamx app will not connect as long as long as Android Auto is enabled. The instructions do not make this clear, and it took me about an hour before I finally figured it out. Once the app is connected, you're good to go. It's kind of a pain to keep switching back and forth (from Android Auto to Fitcamx app, and back), but the camera records regardless of what system you're in (as long as your engine is on). And, it produces very clear videos! The app is easy to use, and you can either download specific videos to your phone, or remove the micro sd card and download the videos straight to your computer. All in all, it's a pretty good dash cam system. On my 2024 RAV4 it looks very OEM-like (no exposed wires and a cover that exactly resembles the original). It records automatically as soon as you start your car (each video is dated and time stamped). At 4K, and with a 256GB micro sd card, it's an excellent system for the price. Read more

Camera was packaged really nicely and was easy to install on a 2025 XSE Hybrid RAV4. Took around 15 minutes to install and was smooth. Camera quality is nice and app has quick response. Really enjoy how flat the camera is and appear to be OEM. App works nicely and is easy to use (does conflict with CarPlay or the Toyota App if you have that a bit). The video quality is very clear and perfectly placed. I really appreciate that I can view the videos without sitting and downloading. Setup was relatively simple and the camera once installed looks like oem product. Took videos fine until when we really needed to get a clip. Was driving and there was an incident where I had to turn in the emergency lights to warn drivers behind me. I also used voice command to call emergency services. I came home to try to get the clip of the incident and the video became distorted and remained that way for the rest of my drive. Update: Contacted vendor for support and did not receive any response. There’s no option to contact vendor through Amazon so we emailed them separately. Will be returning the product. Really wanted to keep it because of how nice it looked but this is an essential product that needs to work well for emergencies. Read more
This thing fits perfectly and works straight away. I was very impressed with how easy it was to install. When removing the old cover, I strongly suggest simply using your thumb and push down with some small amount of force and it will slide off....this is much easier than using a tool to pry it off where you risk breaking a connecting clip. Support was great as they contacted me to make sure I was ordering the right device for my car. I appreciated that even though I was certain based on what was was already written on their Amazon checklist. You can adjust the resolution and it will loop automatically - meaning record over old vids once it fills up the card. The night vision is good and you can turn on/off sound recording and the camera itself. It can also take photos with a touch of a button on the device (next to the on/off button) The seamlessness of its fit along with a solid camera at a decent price and the ease of install make this a must have in my book. I installed the Fitcamx 4K front camera on my wife's 2024 Rav4. The installation was very easy and took about 5 to 10 minutes max. It truly does look OEM when installed and the plastic is the exact same quality as the Toyota OEM piece I removed. I'm impressed by the quality. I did have issues getting the Fitcamx software to stay connected, but that was my fault by not turning off cellular and bluetooth while trying to pair and connect the software on my phone with the camera. Once I figured it out it worked great. The video quality is as good or better than expected when replaying from my home computer with a large screen. The playback was smooth and easy to make out license plates on other cars. I will be buying a Fitcamx for my 2023 Toyota Tacoma next now that I've seen how the product works. I'll be reviewing the videos after my wife has had a few days to drive the car and accumulate some videos. Read more
Definitively the simplest install of all the dash cams I've done, after I got replacement for one that had SD card issues, the quality is well made and can be done by almost anyone. Hopefully lasts in the high heat of enclosed car, so far so good after one week. Read more
I went with Fitcamx because I loved how it looks OEM and doesn’t look out of place inside the car. Installation was simple, I went to YouTube and watched a 5 minutes tutorial. Camera has been great, daytime video recordings are very clear and it’s easy to see license plates on video. Night time video is fine, but nothing spectacular. The app is easy enough to use, I found out that for me I had to disconnect from Bluetooth and LTE data for the app to connect properly. Minor inconvenience since I won’t be connecting to the app frequently. Overall a great looking camera that looks like it’s OEM and no exposed or dangling cables to worry about. Read more
