It’s a little expensive but I like it and wanted it sooner. Overall, this is great to have. Pros: OEM look, easy to install, no hanging wire. Cons: Price on the high side, no screen, live video play back can be better, wire can be a little thinner. Customer Service: Awesome! I didn’t notice the original Y-cable was interfering with my Adaptive Cruise Control, making the steering buttons unresponsive, until I got confirmed by uninstalling the dash cam. I later contacted the seller about the issue and their team was quickly acknowledged the issue and quickly arranged shipping another Y-cable. I received the Y-cable within the following week, installed everything back on and my ACC is back to normal. Great post sale service! Read more
So far, so good. Installed in GR Corolla. Opted for front and rear kit and currently running only the front camera. Can install rear camera later on. Don't order the front only kit hoping to install the rear camera later. The circuit boards are different between the 2 kits. Read more
I bought the 4K front + 1080p rear model, and the box I received has a 4K sticker on it. However, after looking at the video file, it is 2560x1440 which is 2K. Just judging off the observed video quality, it is also not what I had expected. I hope that I can exchange for the legitimate product I paid for. UPDATE: I figured that there was some funny business at the Amazon warehouse and re-purchased the 4K directly from the Fitcamx web site. Again, it is still only 4K. I think the design is nice, so if 2K is good enough for you, just buy the 2K model and save yourself from getting scammed the extra money for 4K. UPDATE 2: I got in contact with Fitcamx and they instructed me to go into the app to change the resolution. I had expected that upon purchasing the 4K model it would record 4K when I hooked it up. After changing the resolution, it is now working as expected. Just be aware that if you want 4K you will need to get the app and set it up instead of plug and play like I was attempting to do. The app is easy to connect to the camera, so not a big deal. Read more
Not quite as easy to install as the video but not bad. Having not done something like this before. I followed the video closely & paused it often until I was ready for the next step. Took ~2 hours; lining up the clips to snap it back into place was not easy. Hiding the wire to the rear also took some time. But it looks pretty good after. The app also too a little time to figure out. Read more
This thing is terrible. It loops the videos, but it leaves up to three minutes in between videos. Those three minutes just happen to be when my daughter wrecked her car so we don’t have the video of the wreck. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!! Read more
The Following pictures were at night time and you can see it is very good quality. The Front Cam was very easy to install and running the wire for the rear cam was a breeze. Read more
Went to install it on my 2024 Toyota Corolla Hatchback. Opened up the box and this clip was broken off. Tried to install it anyway but of course it wouldn’t snug up and was very loose. Very disappointed. Edit: seller reached out and offered to send new casing for the camera. It was a pretty big pain to transfer over the electronics to the new case but i managed to get it done and it is now installed in my 2024 Corolla Hatchback XSE. Read more
Easy to install. Looks OEM like everyone says. I have to change the resolution to 4k in the app. It doesn’t come setup out of the box. Images still look good. The 128gb card seems to be good enough for storing recordings so far. May need to upgrade card later. Rear cam looks okay and it’s small enough not to distract my view in rear mirror. Read more
