I was nervous about them because after I ordered them, I read several reviews that said they ran small and I had ordered my appropriate size. They are not Timbs, but they look sleek and stylish and made well. They fit me perfectly and were very comfortable! Light weight, but nice bottoms for traction. I don't know about snow protection, I don't really need for that, I need more along the lines of a sturdy boot to wear when it's cold and icy. It hasn't snowed here yet. The best part for me is that I have some mobility issues and arthritis in my ankles and these boots support not only the arch of your foot, but the velcro makes it easier to close and also adjust on days when my ankles are swollen. These are very comfortable boots. My size is 8.5 these start at 8.5w which I ordered but unfortunately they were sized small. My toes hit the front of the shoe so i returned them for a size 9w and they fit perfect. I also ordered a pair for my sister. She’s recovering from a health condition and they are a bit heavy for her and she’s unable to lift her foot with them on. So when shopping consider the length and the weight. Otherwise i would say they are stylish and comfortable. And easy to put on and take off with the Velcro strap. If you plan to be in snow it wet weather you may need a shoe cleaner for the suede. 4 stars due to them being sized small. Read more
I really hope they will continue to make these for years to come. Got these for work. I drive tractor trailer. Which sounds like I don't have to do a lot of walking but I do. And this past week had over 6 inches of snow fall on Sat- Sunday and by Tues it was 4 of wet slush mess all over the place. For these saying they are not water resistant (which for some reason I didn't notice that before I bought them) these have kept my feet absolutely dry. I ordered 8.5 x- wide. I have hobbit feet. Short toes wide as heck across the toes. Pretty much straight across at the toes. I can't believe how much room my feet have in these. They float around in there it's amazing. I don't think my feet have ever not touched around the toes. Usually by the end of a 12-14 work day my feet just hurt. These boots aren't doing that. I ordered half a size up based on wanting to wear thick wool socks and reviews. I could maybe order 8 next time as there is lots of room in there for my feet but not in a floppy uncomfortable way at all. I can't believe how light weight they are. Good treads. I hope they hold up for awhile but I also will order another pair to have for next year cause I really like them. The black color is nice, we are supposed to have black or brown polish able boots and although I haven't polished them they look clean and I have not got in trouble with them so that's a plus. Before our trip, I had researched all over Amazon and other brand name stores (plus size) for snow boots that would be functional, would have good traction in case of snow and or ice and would keep my feet warm since I tend to get super cold when low temps. I didn't find any I could make a decision on and at the last moment my Amazon page suggested these. I read the reviews and doubted they would be good enough. However, for various reasons, I decided to go with these instead of the others. I have a wide foot and knew I'd need room for really thick wool socks. In the description it stated wide in the front which others didn't (like these anyway). I also wasn't looking for tall snow boots but neither too short. In addition, they were sort of like slip in boots with velcro (the laces are there for looks more than anything lol). I was very glad to see that since I didn't want to spend too much time tying and untying shoe laces when we would need to be out the door. So, I purchased them, received them with plenty of time to spare before the trip in case they didn't fit I could send them back. But I must say, when I tried them on, I knew right away they were perfect for me and what I needed them for. The real test was when we arrived at the airport and it was snowing pretty good. We right away got our luggage, got our rental and I right away opened my luggage because I couldn’t wait to put them on . I put the boots on and I right away knew they would work. The snow was thick but there was slush on the ground and I noticed the bottoms were pretty high from the ground. Therefore, unless I actively looked for a puddle and splashed lol, I would be fine. But snow was falling on them and I noticed they looked the same (maybe just a slight color variation due to rain/snow mix) but I never felt any moisture come through. Also, they were comfortable enough to go hiking. I really really liked the anti slip bottom. They really gripped the ground. Not once did I feel I was slipping and sliding when it was snowing or muddy. Honestly, in my case and personal experience of course, they worked perfectly for me. Also, I really liked the color because it went with everything I wore the entire time we were there. They were functional, they looked cute (slightly bulky because of the wide front but for me it was perfect), they kept my feet warm and dry and I was able to wear them every day we were there. I don't even know why I bothered taking my other boots....lol Didn’t use them at all! Lol. Anyway, in my opinion, they worked and I am glad I got them. I was looking for a white boot that was adjustable and easy to get in and out of. This fit the bill perfectly! They feel sturdy and warm. I don’t feel afraid of walking around them and falling or slipping. They’re pretty comfortable on the inside, but I bought these for more short term walking and getting in and out of easily to take my dog out for example. I have worn these all day before, and they were still pretty comfortable at the end of the day. I wish this brand had a narrow foot option as I would’ve loved to bought a similar pair for my husband.
