I recently had the pleasure of using Five Star PBW, and I must say it's an outstanding non-caustic alkaline cleaner that exceeded my expectations. As an avid homebrewer, I've tried various cleaning solutions, but PBW stands out as a true game-changer. First and foremost, the cleaning power of PBW is unparalleled. It effortlessly removes stubborn stains, grime, and residue from a wide range of surfaces. From stainless steel equipment to glass carboys, PBW tackles even the toughest cleaning challenges. It's incredibly versatile, making it suitable for use in brewing, winemaking, kitchen appliances, and more. One of the standout features of PBW is its non-caustic nature. Unlike some harsh chemicals, PBW is gentle on surfaces, making it safe to use on delicate materials without causing damage or corrosion. This non-caustic formulation gives me peace of mind, knowing that I can clean my equipment effectively without compromising its integrity. Another remarkable quality of PBW is its ease of use. The powdered formula dissolves quickly in warm water, creating a powerful cleaning solution. I simply soak or scrub the items in the PBW solution, and the magic begins. The cleaner effectively lifts dirt and grime, requiring minimal effort on my part. Even heavily soiled equipment becomes spotless with a soak in PBW. Furthermore, PBW's ability to eliminate odors is impressive. After cleaning, my brewing equipment is left with a fresh, neutral scent, free from any lingering odors from previous batches. This is especially important for maintaining the integrity and flavor of my homemade brews. Lastly, the one-pound size of PBW provides excellent value for money. A little goes a long way, as a small amount of the powder is sufficient to create a potent cleaning solution. The resealable packaging ensures that the product stays fresh and ready for future use. In conclusion, Five Star PBW is a remarkable non-caustic alkaline cleaner that delivers exceptional results. Its powerful cleaning capabilities, non-caustic formulation, ease of use, odor-eliminating properties, and great value make it a top choice for homebrewers and anyone seeking an effective and reliable cleaning solution. I highly recommend Five Star PBW for anyone in need of a versatile cleaner that consistently delivers sparkling results. Read more

I needed something to clean my Stanley from 1978. 45 years of coffee stains in it and now it’s brand new. No scrubbing required and safe. Brewers use this stuff to clean their stainless steel equipment. I wish I took a photo of before I used this stuff, but take a look at what it looks like after a few scoops and some warm water. I left it in for 30 minutes and shook it a few times, then just rinse with warm water. Brand new inside. Now I’ve used it on my BBQ grills and they came out brand new and shiny. I made a tray of warm water and added a few scoops and let the grills soak. Unbelievable. I bought more and use it on all kinds of dirty metal like my Ninja grill and pots and pans. I haven’t tried it on other materials like plastic, but they say it works wonders. I was super impressed and happy to have discovered this stuff! Read more

The media could not be loaded. Best cleaner around, perfect for my quartz bangers and turp slurpers when they get chazzed I place them in a sauce pan 3 cups of water and some PBW. The warmer the water the better the cleaning action. Boil solution for 15 minutes and presto like new rinse well and dry good to go. Read more

So you have coffee mugs or thermoses that have “seasoning” aka brown residue all over the sides? Or maybe tea stains? And all the dish soap in the world won’t remove it? Whelp, this is your solution. Poor some in with hot water and wait 30 min. You hardly even need to scrub, it comes right off. A++ for coffee and tea, my ceramic mugs look like new. Read more

I gave this a try on our All-Clad pots and pans with burned-on, discolored rime from high-heat burners. Since the pans hang exposed above our range in an open kitchen, they need to look decent. In the past, I've used baking soda and a soft scrubby for 1 - 2 hours/pan--torture! PBW has ended the torture!! I put 2 Tbs of PBW with a couple gallons or water in a large canning tub/pan, heated the solution up to 150 degrees (well, it might have gotten a little hotter when I wasn't looking), and immersed a whole pan at a time. Just as the instructions say, within 20 - 50 minutes I could take out the stainless steel cookware and clean it to shiny new with a sponge. One pan took longer--but so what? I'd be happy to soak them overnight if needed. Amazing! Life-changing! Note: rinse REALLY thoroughly after cleaning to remove all PBW trace from the cookware before you put food in it. Read more
