I have used this coat during cold winter days when warmth was the main priority, and in that regard it absolutely does its job. The insulation is thick and effective, and it holds heat very well even in freezing temperatures. I stayed warm without needing extra layers underneath, which makes it practical for very cold weather, outdoor errands, or standing outside for extended periods. The material feels durable, and the coat does a good job blocking wind and light moisture. That said, the fit is not flattering at all. There is no defined waist or shaping, so the coat hangs straight down from the shoulders. On me, it is significantly longer than it appears in the product photos. It reaches almost to my ankles, which makes it feel bulky and overwhelming. The model shown must be very tall, or the images were altered, because the length in real life is far more dramatic than expected. Because of the straight cut and extra length, the coat gives a very oversized, sack like appearance. While it is comfortable and undeniably warm, it is not something I feel confident wearing in public. I was genuinely looking forward to this coat, but the lack of structure and styling has kept it hanging in my closet rather than being used regularly. If your main goal is staying extremely warm and you do not care about how the coat looks, this will serve you well. However, if you are looking for a winter coat that is both warm and visually flattering, this is probably not the right choice. Read more

Let’s talk about the good. This coat is definitely warm and comfortable. Good thickness for bitterly cold weather. Well made and durable so far. Zipper closes smoothly. I wore it to during 12 degree weather while chipping 5 inches of ice of car windshields and this coat did its job. Functioned well to keep me warm. I got the black and the color is…deep black. Now for the not so good. This coat is not flattering at all. I am 5’3” and curvy. This coat came down the my mid calf. No shape what so ever and looked like a sack on me. The models must be super slim and tall for it to look that good on them. Maybe AI images. Add that I am curvy it made me look HUGE! A girl never wants that. As far as sizing, I always go up a size up in coats but I definitely should have sized down. This is not a coat I would reorder or wear out in public. Overpriced as well. Read more

I should start by saying that I fully knew I was taking a chance here; at 5'2" tall and 100 pounds, most US-sized adult clothing, even size XS, can be ridiculously oversized on me. However, I ordered and crossed my fingers, hoping for an at least somewhat shapely long black puffer coat to replace my (of course discontinued) old favorite from many years ago, which is not less puffer and more a sad, flat, relic. I am not so sure I expected it to be this comically huge. I am not joking when I say that I considered it might be possible to fit two of me inside. I knew it would be longer than on the model, because I'm short, but the big, boxy, trash-bag look was laughable. But. I kind of love my big ugly sack. See, my husband and I are the kind of people who do things outdoors all year long, and have been known to do things like hike through feet of snow in the northernmost part of Wisconsin in January. So, while this isn't going to cut it as a fashion, or even a "cute loungewear," type coat, it is definitely finding a permanent home in my winter outdoor wear closet. It is very warm, and blocks wind like a champion (and I HATE wind). It is comfortable; yes, it is bulky, but it moves well and isn't the sort of bulky that makes it feel like I can't properly move my limbs. I could wear this coat over my regular outdoor-winter-wear and not feel the need to layer 2 vests and 3 coats (yes, I've absolutely done this before). It's a classic solid black color that won't show dirt, and honestly, the quality is better than I expected. Long story short: I think it runs very large, but it is the warmest and most comfortable coat I own now, so it's perfect for outdoor adventures when being warm wins over looking my best. Read more
