In a car, a MagSafe charger should be standard equipment. It is simply the best way to hold an iPhone. I have an iPhone Pro Max, which is one of the largest/heaviest iPhones made. This mount holds the phone securely without an issue. There are multiple mounting options. - There is a unique vent clip which clamps to a vent slat w/o needing to hook onto it from behind. - Also included is the more standard vent clip that hooks a vent slat from behind. - Also included is a 3m VHB tape mount, which can be mounted almost anywhere where you have a 1"x1.5" flat spot. Regardless of which mount you choose, the phone is on a ball socket and can easily be adjusted for clear viewing. The MagSafe base will also charge the phone if you connect the base to any USB port in your car, or you can use the included cigarette light charger. So every possible mounting option is covered here. It holds the phone securely, and it charges it at the same time. There is nothing not to like. Read more

Nice quality MagSafe phone charging mount. This mount came with 4 different ways of attaching it to the vehicles (2 identical peel and stick mounts, and 2 different types of vent mounts). I did not try the peel and stick mounts so I cannot comment on those. I did try both types of vent mounts and they both worked well! One mount is scissors-type compression mount that clamps around a single vent blade. The other is a hook type mount that also hooks on a single blade. They both worked perfectly, and as expected. Due to the ball and socket design you can angle the phone pretty much at any angle. Due to the different clamping systems between the two mounts though, they suspend the phone to different distances from the actual vent surface. To explain, when both mounts are flush against a vent blade, the mount with the hook has it's ball about an inch further away from the dash than the mount with the scissors-type clamp. But either one functions properly. This is my first mount using MagSafe. I had no clue what to expect in regards to magnetic clamping ability. The seller doesn't list whether they are using neodymium magnets (probably the best currently out there right now), or a lesser quality magnet (ferrite, Alnico, Samarium Cobalt, etc.). If they are using neodymium, they don't list their strength (grade) such as N35, N42, N52, etc. with higher numbers being stronger than lower numbers. So, it was a guess as to what this mount would have within. I cannot tell you what magnets it contains, but I can attest to the fact that they are quite strong. With an iPhone 14 Pro in a multilayer case (not a MagSafe case), it took a very hard swing and flick to get the phone to detach from the mount. Barring anything other than a motor vehicle accident, I don't think your phone will detach while performing spirited driving or racing, and certainly not during the daily commute! My concern is that this may be a double edged sword. The phone holds on with authority, but I wonder how much pulling the car's vent can withstand before it finally breaks. Me, I'd probably get used to holding the back of the mount against the vent to stabilize it while removing the phone so as to not cause any possible wearing of the dashboard vent blade. Charging speed was average. No better or worse than any of my other Qi chargers. I did notice that it did go into a slower trickle charge mode when the battery was getting full. I guess this is good to help with the longevity of the phone's battery. All in all, I've really got nothing to find fault with!!!! I give this device 5-stars. Read more

This is one of the best car chargers I have tried to date. My son and I both have an issue with using a charging cord in the car. For some reason they never want to work. It says something like “this accessory not accepted.” But this charger works like a dream. The MagSafe connection is strong and no concern the phone will fall off. The versatile options of how to attach in the vehicle are helpful and useful. I prefer the vent clip connection, but I believe the peal and stick will be good in certain types of cars. I also love that I can plug it in to the cigarette lighter instead of the car usb port. But again, the many modes of use make it very versatile. I have a MagSafe phone case on my iPhone, but it does come with a stick on magnet if you do not. This charger is a well used, well loved staple in my car now. It’s a keeper, and I plan to give some as gifts over the holidays. Read more

Versatile Magnetic Car Mount with Charger This car mount offers three mounting options for my iPhone 16+: • Vent hook - my favorite, totally secure, and installs in under a minute. • Vent clip - very secure (I couldn’t pull it off), but not quite as failsafe as the hook; installs in seconds. • Two adhesive bases - I didn’t use them due to past bad experiences with adhesive bases, but they may work well for others.
