Having owned a restaurant and bar, I've always liked using the glass from a Boston Shaker as a glass for iced tea and other beverages. These glasses deliver. They are sturdy and very stylish. They arrived quicker than stated and even though the dozen glasses were packed well, 2 glasses had a chip on the rim. One note to the company was all it took. This is a nice, quality set of drinking glasses. The design is simple and modern, and there are plenty of them in this package! I really like how thick the glass is. We have an ice dispenser in our fridge, and I have broken SO MANY glasses over the years just from the ice cubes hitting the glasses too hard on the way out. I don’t have to worry about that with these. I am sure they can withstand that force, no problem. These came very well packaged, and there was no breakage at all. Every glass is pristine. Loved the size and shape of these glasses. They were exactly what I was looking for except I overlooked one important detail… Are they made of lead free glass? I couldn’t find this information anywhere so I emailed Fortessa customer service. I received a very quick response however, it did not answer my question and beat around the bush. I pressed some more and received this answer, “Confirming that our dinnerware falls under the scope of Proposition 65, and as a result, it contains trace amounts of lead and cadmium.…” I returned them. Trace amounts is still in it and I don’t trust any FDA approved levels. If you don’t care about Lead free and in this case cadmium too, they’re a very nice glass. Oh and listing on Amazon said made in Mexico, box said all over it, made in China. Read more
