Fortessa Jupiter Beaded Hobnail Glass 13 Ounce Iced Beverage Set of 6 Sage Green

Love these. They are nicely textured on the outside of the glass, inside is completely smooth. Heavy & sit sturdy on surfaces. My only complaint is that 1 glass was already cracked when it arrived. It started as just the discolored bead you can see pictured, which looked like some paper or something had been made into the glass. There were no cracks anywhere to be found so we thought nothing of it. I used the glass once for some milk and after a few minutes I heard the cracking. You can see in the pictures what the end result was. I'd seen others complain of similar issues but figured I'd take a chance. Overall I do really like the glasses & may get another set. *Update* I processed the return and selected the option to replace the order. The glasses are being replaced at no cost to me and I don't have to return the original order that was broken. Added another star to the review for that. *Update2* A couple days after my last update the delivery of the replacement glasses was delayed. It's been a week or so since then & they're still showing as delayed. Not sure why that is since they're in stock for purchase. *Update3* 12/21 The replacement glasses arrived today. None have any visible issues. I did get a receipt with them. I was charged $0.81 per glass for a total of $4.83. Not a bad price at all considering the cost to purchase new. But I was originally told I would be sent the replacements free of charge, so that's disappointing. Read more

These glasses are so pretty and I was very impressed with the way they were shipped. Each glass was wrapped individually and the box had cardboard dividers to separate each one from the other so they all arrived in perfect shape. My pictures display the 'sage' 13 oz glass in the back, the tallest of the 3 or 4 glasses pictured. Please note, though, that this sage glass has almost no color. It is almost clear, very pale greenish color to the glass. It is not the sage as pictured in the listing, not at all. That is the only reason I marked down one star. There are three prominent vertical lines (demarcation?) from manufacturing that appear in each glass. And the quality of the glass is not very high. I'd rate these middle of the road, maybe a 3/5 for quality. However, I haven't used them yet, so if they fail as others have reported, I will update my review at a later date. And for my purpose of purchase, the manufacturing flaw lines and mid grade quality are not too much of a turn off. They remind me of a knock off of a higher quality glass. But I like the hobnail (?) style (I am not sure if that is the correct style name, though.) I bought these originally in multiple colors to use as candle holders. My photos display the purple, cornflower blue and 'sage' / almost clear, as well as a teal glass made by a different manufacturer (much higher quality) These are a decent size, so maybe larger than necessary for votives or even tealight holders, but the flame would bounce off of these nifty patterned glasses and put off a cool pattern in the evening. If you used a smaller plain glass tealight holder inside of these colored glasses, it would contain the melted wax better and offer a cleaner finish in the end. For candle holders, they are mid priced, but the variety of colors and sizes offered with this pattern was what I was searching for. I'll probably keep a few of each color in my dish cabinet, and use the rest for something eye-catching in which to burn votive and tealight candles. Read more
