I need a gun to heat fabric onto my r/c plane. Temp has to be close. Did a test to check temperatures. At 122F = 99F; 140F = 80F; 158F = 80F; 176F = 165F; 194F = 310 to 340F, & this was up & down, not a steady reading; 212F -400 +F, again, not steady. I gave up. I ordered the $134 Makita. If that does't work, I'll be back here w/ results. I'm going w/ quality in Makita's reputation. If not, I'll have to bite the bullet & order the recommended heat gun, cost $252. I can't afford substandard quality for this very expensive balsa wood bi-plane I'm building, 80 in. wingspan, WW1 fighter plane. The gun would be great for heavy work. I really liked the gun, but not for my hobby. I never ran the heat all the way up, but I could tell you could remove your warts if you needed to.
