Works great with my shop vac in a mobile cabinet with dust deputy

Red StickDecember 15, 2025

This is a great addition to my portable shop vac with dust deputy. I have a very long hose and with this outlet and remote control I can turn the vacuum on and off with the remote which I attached to the hose end where the final accessory attaches. Saves a lot of steps and works perfectly. Very easy to set up, just plug and play. Read more

Worked great for roof and gutter heaters

S JJanuary 6, 2026

It is necessary for me to have two sets of gutter and downspout heaters in the front and back of my house. I COULD plug them in when needed OR use a thermostat to "automatically" turn them on and off but that ends up with me forgetting OR having them on much of the winter, snow or no snow, because of the temperature. A smarter move seemed to be using remote control plugs front and back, like these. Now I can turn them on and off from inside the house when I want. Using cords with lighted ends also helps. At night I can see from inside if the heaters are on or off as a double check. It's working PERFECT! Read more

Kudos to support - product works great

M. OliverJune 14, 2025

Shout out to customer support here - one of the 2 receivers just stopped working one day (after about 4 months). I contacted the company FOSMON - a real company, via email. They virtually immediately got back, asked me to check a few things - totally reasonable. Then they agreed to send me (no shipping fee, no requirement to return defective unit) a new receiver. All by email NO CALLS, no jump thru a thousand hoops. Kudos to support here. Also, the product itself is great for me - one unit operates my vacuum, the other a fan. Both need remote on-off which is exactly how this works, range is fine (20 ft or so in my shop). Transmitter is not overly bulky - fits in my pocket and I can trigger it by just pressing button from outside my pocket. Good product. Read more

Be sure to get the user manual

Princess@HeartDecember 8, 2024

When this package arrived, I was supposed to go to the company’s website to get the user manual before plugging it in. Well, the website is not very user-friendly and I couldn’t find this particular manual. So I tried to get it working myself and failed. I went back to the website and eventually found the instructions. 1. Put the battery in the remote (+ side facing up) and close the battery cover. (This was a bit tricky as the battery kept popping out if I didn’t put it in at a bit of a tilt, and then line up the cover one side at a time to get the notches connected correctly before turning.) 2. Click the power button once. The light on the remote will flash red once while you click. 3. Plug in the device to a 3-prong outlet and make sure the red light on the device is flashing red slowly. 4. While it is still flashing, press the remote button once to pair it to the device. 5. Once the device stops flashing red, it is paired to the remote. You can now use the remote to turn the device off and on. 6. Plug in your lights (or whatever) and it’s ready to go! Just note that after clicking the button on the remote, it t takes a whole second or so for the lights to come on. I repeated the above steps from the start to pair the second remote. It works well, but I took off one star for the hassle of finding the user manual on the website, and the remotes being so tricky to get the batteries in. I feel like the remotes are very low quality, as if I got them from the dollar store. Hopefully they hold up. Read more

great for 2-1/2 years, then pffft!

WTLAugust 17, 2023

UPDATE: After I Ieft a 3-star review, the seller reached out and offered me a refund! After 2-1/2 years! How often does THAT happen? I had already ordered a new one because it was great while it lasted and reasonably priced. So I changed the review to 5-star. And I hope the new one lasts longer. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Man, I loved this thing, while it worked -- no more having to turn on the dust collector manually, and even better, this thing turned off the collector and table saw at the same time, AND the table saw wouldn't work until I pressed the button to turn the dust collector on. Everything copacetic for 2-1/2 years, then it stopped working. Changed the batteries, paired it (I think -- the red lights on the outlet and and remote both came on, the outlet light flashed while I held the remote switch on, then stopped flashing. I turned the dust collector on manually, but trying to turn it off with the remote didn't work, even though the outlet light was on while the collector was running and off when I turned the collector off manually -- but the remote wasn't working. Spent half an hour trying to make it work, double-checking pairing, etc., but no go. I guess it was cheap enough and practical enough to get a new one -- won't bother with just a new remote because it costs half the price of a whole new setup. Maybe they've improved it? Read more
