First off, my husband and I have been in the optical business over 30 years. My glasses broke recently, and I needed something to get me by until new ones could be ordered. I have a small prescription for distance (+ 1.0) and keep needing more plus for reading. I normally wear a progressive lens. I was really impressed with these glasses, the optics are clear, the transition from distance to near is smooth, and the frame is very sturdy, adjustable and cute! I will always have an extra pair or two of these around! Read more

They're great for all the daily tasks I do throughout the day, because of the variable magnification I don't need to constantly take them off and on all day long like I do with regular reading glasses. They're nice and sturdy and a good value for the money. Read more

I bought these to replace an old pair of Foster Grant readers. I specifically wanted glasses with spring hinges, metal frames and straight sides that don't dig into my head. Like the older ones, these glasses are well-made, sturdy and are very easy to see with. I like the multi-focus feature, which keeps me from having to look up over the top of the glasses to see things at a distance. They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They are heavier than cheap glasses, but that's fine with me, because they're also sturdier and will last a long time. Read more

I love the rose gold color of these glasses and they look great. I also like that they’re progressive and the lenses are very clear, very good. However, the one drawback is that the arms of the glasses seem to be quite long and the glasses constantly slide down my nose. I do not have a small head or a narrow face, so that’s not the issue. It’s really too bad because the arms are a hard plastic and not adjustable. These glasses would be perfect if not for that one annoying issue. Read more

I have wore Foster Grant Multifocus glasses for about 5 years now. They have been the best $$ I have spent for someone that works on the computer & has to do paperwork while needing reading glasses. The multifocus worked perfect - I hated using regular readings w/the off & on or looking over the top to look at the computer. I actually love the Tierney style & the way they fit my face BUT they came in a little warped. I tried them for about a week sent them back & ordered a replacement - those came in same way! I feel that it's because they are shipping expensive reading glasses in a padded envelope instead of box! This is crazy! I don't have a choice but to order online because no store in our area carry any of the FG Multifocus! I'm going to try the actual Foster Grant website & see if I have better luck!! Read more

They are not multi focal as far as I can see. The top portion is not for distance. They are more like computer distance and reading but the top is also magnified. Distance is blurry. Read more

Very high quality, the lenses look like polycarbonate, not some cheap plastic, and the hinges are spring loaded for some give if you bend too far. Read more

I have three pairs of these classes and could not be happier with my purchase. Having tri focal capabilities, these are far more versatile than your typical reading glasses. In fact, I wear contact lenses and use these glasses as my back up, avoiding the high price of a pair of prescription glasses. Considering the low price, I bought three of these, keeping one pair in my backpack, one pair in my car, and one in the house. These are durable, look good, and function great. Read more
