This is a name-brand over-the range microwave at a no-frills price. It's doing a great job heating food. It's a bit of an adjustment to get used to the "touch" screen functionality. Our prior microwave had push buttons, our Frigidaire range has touch-screen buttons, and this seems to function somewhere between the two. While we can simply touch the range controls, the interface on the microwave does seem to require a little pressure, and just above where we would expect the button to be. Once we got the hang of it, though, there has been no trouble. I am very happy that this microwave has a "mute" option. I've never understood why microwave manufacturers think I want to wake up my entire family when I'm warming up my breakfast. 🤷🏻‍♀️ With the microwave on mute, all the beeping is muted, even the notice that the cook time is complete. My last microwave lacked this option. It only has five "express" buttons - 1-minute, 2-minute, 3-minute and 10- and 30-seconds. My prior microwave had more express options, so we've had to get used to that, as well. The inside is well lit. The external lighting to illuminate the range has only one bulb, but it's an LED bulb, so it is adequate. The option for the range light includes only "on" and "off", there's no "dim" nightlight function. The hood fan has two speeds, and the lower speed is extremely quiet. We did have some difficulty installing this microwave. As we were screwing the two self-aligning bolts down through the cabinet into the holes in the top of the microwave, one of the nuts that is clipped into the bolt hole just popped loose and fell down into the microwave, making it impossible to install. We had take the microwave down off the bracket and for a while thought all of our money had been completely wasted by this faulty nut. However, we were able to find a few videos online explaining how to disassemble the microwave specifically to retrieve the nut when this happens. Apparently it happens to people pretty often! It was a lot of work, but once we retrieved the nut and put it back in place, we were able to install the microwave. This is a definite area where Frigidaire could stand to improve the product. Never got the mounting bracket. The unit works but after reporting that the mounting bracket was not in the box, never received the bracket or a response. Pretty disappointed. Read more

I bought this model on Sept 3rd of this year and it’s stopped working twice. The first repair the tech was able to get it working but said if it happened again it would need a new board. It happened again and the called me the day of the appointment to say they weren’t coming and they would order the part and let me know in a week or so when it might be in or if it was on backorder! I have attempted all day to contact someone who has some authority to no avail! It's A week later and still no call. I called them and was told it's on backorder for an indefinite period. I again request to speak to a supervisor to get a replacement, still no response. Read more
