Well everything seems wonderful other than my dog won’t use it! It’s soft, squishy, love the removable cover… I can’t understand why he avoids it. Perhaps the foam interior is off-gassing and after a while he’ll lay in it? Or the slightly crinkly sound of the inner cover? He’s 13 and has never once in all those years not immediately jumped into a dog bed that I’ve given him, so I’m surprised to say the least. I’m giving it some time, but in the meantime I have taken one star off since the dog bed is not serving its primary function. If he starts using it I’ll add the star back on. Update- 1.10.26, she laid in it once and that was it. I think it’s too firm for her. I have to return it🤦🏾‍♀️ and look for something else on Amazon. I opened the vacuumed sealed package and it fluffed up some, no smell, thankfully 😅 I unzipped the outer cover, removed the inside piece that has shredded foam that’s pillowy and threw it in the dryer with a load of sheets and towels and a couple Bounce dryer sheets. The inside piece fluffed up really good and very durable, easy to put back together (I do the same with my bed pillows that have shredded foam inside them about every two or 3 months. I throw a Bounce sheet in the dryer to fluff them up too) My little Shorkie seems to Love her new bed, that’s on my bed😉 Tinka is going to be 12-years old this coming May. Don’t tell her that, she runs like she’s still 2-years old😉 I started to notice she didn’t like her old bed and was started to flatten out, so of course I needed to get her a new bed. She is extremely spoiled with her three different beds, and a TeePee for when she doesn’t want to be bothered or perceived🤦🏾‍♀️😉🤣 I would highly recommended it. It’s thick and seems comfy to her, the zipper is sturdy enough. It will definitely last a long time if taken care properly. Since I only threw it in the dryer for an hour with damp items it came out nicely, I’m sure it will wash well. It is probably the best bed I’ve gotten her over the last 11-ish years. I will be getting her two more to replace her bed on her throne that she looks out the window over 🐶 👑 her Kingdom at her subjects and the one on the sofa.
