GarveeHome Portable Air Conditioner 10 000 BTU for Large Room up to 450 Sq Ft Smart AC with

This is my first time having this kind of A/C, as I've only ever had the A/C units that rest in the window, but I like it, so far! It's about as loud as a standard in-window A/C unit, so the noise doesn't bother me. It's not too obtrusive in it's size and shape, and the duct it comes with and the power cord are both long enough that it can be maneuvered around the room without having to be right next to the window, which makes it a bit more convenient. it doesn't feel too cheap. About the same build quality as my kids' in-window units, which were about the same price. I love the remote! I've never had an A/C unit with a remote before. It works well. The settings all seem to work pretty good. I haven't tried out the 'sleep' mode or the timer function because I've never bothered with those on anything (fans, TV's, nothing), so I can't speak to those ones, but it works well and cools quickly. As for how well it works.... My room is weird, so let me start there. I have an old house from the 1930's and my room is basically three rooms frankensteined together. There is the main room, then two sunrooms; one little one with French doors, then one that's down a two-step decline that's a bit bigger. LOTS of old, single-pane, thin windows with NO insulation. In total, there's seventeen windows, with three doors separating them. Weird, I know. But! This little thing pushes air efficiently, even if it's not got the highest BTU rating. My room stays comfortable now! I live in rural Missouri, and we've had more rain than sun this spring and summer, so it's always humid and it's had some pretty warm days, in the upper 80's. My room used to get to be 5-10 degrees hotter in my room than outside because of all the windows. Now it STAYS at the temp I set the A/C to! Well worth it, imo. The oooonly caveat I have: The installation is simple enough for most modern windows, but if you have even slightly narrow windows, it's gonna take some workarounds. They should include a second slide-in window blocking piece to account for smaller window sizes. If we used the one provided, it would have blocked the exhaust hole entirely, but leaving it out left a 2-3" gap. So we ended up duct-taping it to hell and back. It looks stupid, but oh well! It works. I will update as I use it longer, probably at the end of summer (unless there's an issue that I feel I should update with before then). tl;dr: Great product! Works efficiently, even if it's got a lower BTU. Not an ugly product. Not super loud. Well worth the price! Installation might be a pain if you have narrow windows. Read more

Great unit, rolls nice 70lbs. Fired right up uses 11.5 amps. Took temp on the output a solid 58 degrees see pic. The door on top goes up and down to spread out air flow on high I can feel it 12 feet away, strong !. Door when oscillating adds a full 4" + to hight so if a cubby location figure that in, don't see much of a way to Adjust it it's either fully up or oscillating, switch to stop the oscillating on too. On high its not loud but no way your going to sleep with it on high unless it's in the next room. DB says solid 58+ on high, DB on low is 52, and drops to 46 10 feet away, sleep yup !, not quiet but workable. Ok my room large family room was79 when turned on, 40 minutes later now 77, very nice. I'm waiting to see sound levels when temp is reached set it to go down to 72 degrees. Got the black top model nice contrast to white body more of a cream white. Update 1 hour in temp now 76. The hose exits out the back about 8" up from floor on back left side. The hose is a metric size just a tad over 6", like 6-1/8" so could work with 6" ducting fine. They give you about 5' to 5-1/2' feet long depending how far you try stretch it and it's white pvc with wire in it to keep it from collapsing. They give you the adapter to click on the back to hose and a solid window kit window panel is metal and strong, and end of hose adapter to oval shape to click into window brace. The oval shape is about 3" x 8" so fairly secure, only a child could pass his hand/arm through it. Call me crazy but my home is under construction currently and I took the inch hose and passed it into a floor vent 4x12" and pushed it down 6 " and put 2 big bath towels around it to hold it in place. --- Hey its working 💪--- I'll punch a hole in floor and screen the end of hose and dangle 6 or so inches into the crawl space for now, tomorrow it's going to be 90 out !. So for a work site this is great !!. It's removing some humidity and ill try that separately after the temp stabilized. Got a 32 pint dehumidifier also so can run them both in tandem. Maybe even on the same circuit ? Dehumidifier is a mid sized one. Cold air that's damp is no fun... So hey shoot me a question if ya like, I'll try answer it, the site could have been a bit more in depth, hose size and materials and hight with door when running. One last thing if you could get a separate set of hose and adapter s You could easily cool one level of your house and move it to a different one to make it work on whole house, if ya can carry 50lbs up a stairway.. The media could not be loaded. This portable AC really does cool a small, to medium and large rooms. The noise is not bad at all. It’s not too loud, but you will get used to it because it helps to blackout sound from outside it’s really easy to use and I’m so glad that I bought it because I really needed it and it really did help with when it was really humid in my home because it’s also a dehumidifier so it removes the humidity from the air and it felt really cool and nice during the hot humid summers so I love this portable AC. The product worked great at first but eventually got so hot it melted the plug in and almost started a fire. I did have it connected to a surge protector which also started to melt due to the heat. Overall not what I expected or wanted. I highly don’t recommend this unit. Read more

Unfortunately I had to return this product. It worked great for about three weeks. Very easy to set up and the air was so cold. The timer functions were also amazing. It wasn’t too loud and the size of it was what you’d expect but it was very heavy. I really loved it while it was working. But then it threw a code, “LC” and I searched everywhere to resolve the issue and could not find any information. Even reached out to customer service and though they were very nice, they couldn’t help and responses were about one a day while I was melting at home because the unit wasn’t working. Read more

working great so far...drip pan not on bottom of unit.. They give you a little hose.And then you gotta put your own drip pan there... It says in the instructions to pull out the pan at the bottom.But there's no place to pull out a pan.There is no pan at the bottom Read more
