how sharp is your edge?
I'm always in the market for a good knife sharpener. On a whim I ordered this product. to say I'm impressed with how this little device works is a complete understatement. I have a knife that I use (and abuse) at work. three draws through the sharpener and that edge could very easily slice open anything. it even handles the Tanto-style blade with ease. if you want something that you can carry in your pocket to get that quick and dangerous edge on your blade, this is it! Great field sharpener
If you're looking for something to hone knife to a razor edge this isn't it. If you have a very expensive knife with high quality or tool steel and want to resharpen it, this isn't it. If you're looking for a tool to change the edge bevel angle on a knife, this isn't it. This is a field sharpener that resharpens practical knives to a workable edge. In that sense it's great. It's easy to use and small enough to carry everywhere. It'll have at least some effect on most low to medium quality steels except for the hardest of tool steels like D2. I keep it in a camping backpack to sharpen up the edge of a knife after using it to baton through a log or skin an animal or anything like that. If you own a high quality knife that can keep an edge after chopping down a few redwoods though, you're better off getting a quality sharpening system with precise angles and just make sure you sharpen your knife before going on trips. This is a real good one!
This is a must have in the field or anywhere! It puts a great edge on and takes little effort. Easy to hold no matter where you are. I have had mine for a few weeks now and it goes everywhere with me. Just a reminder, this is NOT for serrated blades as it will destroy (Chip) the tungstin carbide blades. Read more

Works real easy and does a great job. My knifes get used a lot and all it takes is several pulls through and they are sharp afain. There is no issue getting the wrong angle on your edge and dulling the blade. Read more
