The GE motion sensing nightlites work great. I use them in the bathroom to see at nihgt. . Even when plugged in off to the side, the light will sense motion and turn on. The light stays on for a good minute or two. It is not overly bright and comfortable. Another plus is that when there is enough light during the day, it does not turn on. I have other GE nightlites around the house that turn on and stay on when it turns into night and lights go off. Therefore, I expected good quality from the motion sensing lights. Read more

The fan in my closet has a light kit on it. I like to leave the fan on in my closet to keep the air circulating. There is only one switch that controls them both. Shutting the light off also shuts the fan. I can shut the light off with a pull chain to keep the fan on, but then the closet is dark. I decided to try this little light so when I walk in the closet I can see if anything is on the floor that I may trip on. It works like a charm. It gives me enough light to see what’s on the floor and also to locate the light pull chain of the fan light. I like that it goes off automatically so I can just walk out of the room. Especially if my hands are full. I’ve had this little light for years. It worked so well I decided to buy one for my kitchen area. Before I go to bed, I shut all the lights and sometimes my dog is in the way. The light lights up a wide area to see where my dog is laying. Excellent night light! I was looking for one specifically for my toddler's room - he wakes up frequently at night and I needed a light to help me avoid tripping on toys, anything underfoot. Good level of brightness - bright enough to see but dim enough to not wake me up completely. Good motion sensing - it stay off and only turns on when i enter the room. Stays on for about 45 seconds. Exactly what I needed, a motion light that would illuminate the landing of stairwell to our basement when the entry door is opened. It’s an instant reminder to the elderly in our house to see the stairs and turn on the lights. Forty lumens is plenty bright and then turns off automatically in about 90 seconds when no motion is detected. This nightlight does NOT stay on continuously in total darkness, ONLY when motion is detected. I added an outlet at the landing for another need so one was available for this nightlight that worked out perfectly. Read more

Very good night light, lasted about two and a half years (minus one star for that disappointment). After this period, the light began cycling on and off by itself during the night. There was no motion to trigger it. Otherwise, it was working fine up until this point. I like these becasue they produce enough light to illuminate a dark hallway sufficiently to safely walk without turning on the big main lamps. They also can be plugged into the outlet in either orientation, which is a huge plus when something else needs to share that same outlet. Read more

Genuinely not sure why they stopped selling this at my local Walmart, but the one I had blew out one night when we had a blackout, and I was trying to look for the exact motion detector hallway light my dad bought a few years ago but could no longer find. After a few searches on Amazon, I was able to find it! Not much to say besides it works well as a hallway light in the middle of the night when it’s pitch black. It detects motions and lights up really well, along with it being aesthetically pleasing. Our last one lasted for a good couple of years, and probably longer if it wasn’t for the blackout short circuiting it. Highly recommend. Read more
