I have a ceiling fan which uses two light bulbs and is covered with a glass enclosure. It's always too dark in the room. The other day I bought new lightbulbs for my other ceiling fan and I used these bulbs: GE Refresh High Definition LED Bulb 10.5-watt 5000K Energetic Daylight Dimmable A19 6-Pack. Very white/lightly bluish bright light. So I bought the same ones only with a smaller size base, so they would fit my fixture. When I first put the two Candelabra bulbs in and turned on with my remote, both bulbs in unison started dimly blinking. I tried adjusting the dimmer on my remote, but wouldn't work. Then I plugged in one of my old bulbs while keeping one of the new ones in and then they both turned on fully. Then I unscrewed the old one and put in a new one and the two new ones remained bright until I turned off the light and then turned back on and they started to dimly blink again. My wife came in the room and she must have magic fingers cause she was able to press and hold the buttons just right to where both lights came on fully. Then I noticed something that someone else wrote (and who gave a one star) that "...there’s a constant barely noticeable flicker." I told my wife and she took the controller and just pressed and held the dimmer button and right away the lights became even brighter and that barely noticeable flicker went away. If your room is too dark, it might partially be because you are using a typical lightbulb, which when turned on the light is yellow. If you want a much brighter room these bulbs have a bright white glow, although some say bluish white, but to me they are just white. I would buy again. Read more

The Lutron dimmers and remotes are very bulb sensitive. I have some Lithonia wafer type ceiling fittings that work fine with them but when I bought some off brand bulbs for chandeliers and sconces it was a different matter as they started off fine but soon flickered and would n ok t dim properly. I tried at least two other generic Chinese made bulbs with similar results. So one day I'm in a big box store not HD the other mob when I saw these GE bulbs. Not a bad price so I bought a couple of boxes. What a revelation! Dimmed fully right out the box and no flickering at any level with the Lutron dimmers. Furthermore, months later there's no change in performance as they still dim perfectly and zero fluckering. As I was so impressed I bought further ones from Amazon and every one has performed perfectly. I can't speak about longevity as I've only had them a few months. As advertised - the daylight 60w equivalent bulb gives off great light and allowed us to reclaim a room that only had a fan light that uses small base bulbs. We expect the electricity usage to be minimal. Read more

When I first inserted these bulbs they flashed unpredictably however when I removed them and re-installed them they seem to work fine. The light produced by them is a little harsher and colder than I expected but they seem to work fine now and were a good value. Read more

Albeit I have a deeper knowledge the technicality of LED lighting than the layman, I appreciate how simple GE has made buying their HD line of bulbs. Rather than referencing scientific scales, GE has branded their brightness based on equivalencies to incandescent bulbs and their colors on a cheeky naming convention (Relax-Refresh-Reveal). In addition, their color rendition is reasonably good, which makes me happy having just spent so much on interior paint. I have used this current line of GE bulbs in multiple properties and now know that I can rely on their lifespan and ability to maintain brightness and color over the years. I have bought new GE LED bulbs that match up perfectly to 2 year old bulbs. I highly recommend that you visit the GE Lighting site to learn about their HD series and then pick up some of these bulbs for yourself. You'll have no regrets! Read more

Thankfully these fit my awkward ceiling fan light fixture- that's been an adventure- either way.... I put 4 of these in to replace old ones that had burned out and oh my god. It looked like a runway in my bedroom. I left all 4 in but unscrewed two of them a bit so they don't shine- I could actually make do with just one- they are super bright. Happy with the purchase.
