Absolutely horrible and horrendous support from amazon or GE. The unit is loud which would have been ok if the unit worked. the unit does not function as advertised. the unit is support to heat but will not turn on and gives a 2C error. GE will not provide any support and says that it is not worth repairing the device. they will provide a voucher which you need to take to a store towards a credit for another ge device. the old heavy unit needs to be disposed off yourself. It's a nice unit...except for the fact that Amazon put a dent in front of the unit. So far everything works fine but at the price I paid for it should be perfect. Anyway, the install was very easy I love the fact the duel hose is separate and has some distance between the other hose. I had the Midea duo which was awful had problems within the first 2 days then it was shot within a week. The design is horrible the hoses are way to close together. So when pushing out the hot air it's taking that heat plus the heat from outside. The unit burned out and seems to be an on going problem for the unit from what I have been reading. That's why this unit just makes sense design wise. Also, I love the fact you can direct the air to push straight out the Midea just went up and not out into the room. As far as cooling it cooled off pretty quick. I have a medium size room in my rec room. I have smaller windows and the hoses with the kit fit perfectly. I set it to 67 and it actually shut off but that was at night. So we shall see how it does during the day. I will update. It does have heating I won't be using it but if someone needs it for heating the instructions state it can't be below 40 degrees to use the heating. As far as water output it's not to bad. It's been extremely humid here the Midea I was filling up a 3 gall bucket within hours. This unit not even halfway. All of these units are all the same tech they just buy the lisincing and the company uses their own housing and just adds alittle something diff. I love the fact GE resigned the hoses. If you're doing alot of research before you buy stay away from the Midea duo and get the separate duel hose especially if you're dealing with 90+ degree heat and humidity. Overall great unit with nice cold air and very easy set up. Just remember these type of units don't compare to window units if you can do a window unit go with that. I recently bought frigitair window unit 12000 btu and that thing is a beast never thought it would cool my whole house down. On a side note use a box fan to help push the air around works great and keeps things much cooler. Read more

I was debating on four or five stars because it does feel like it takes longer to cool a room than my last unit BUT everything else is so amazing that I couldn't do it. The fact that it handles de humidification is such a big win compared to having to set that up separately. When you want something to be portable you want it all together and this takes the cake. Not super big considering all that it can do and amazing for frequent use as everything is connected. When you're done with it all of the attachments can stay together and the hoses for the exhaust shrink right down on the back. That is such an enormous headache solved! I don't find that the fan creates much noise at all. I wouldn't want to be sitting directly next to it, especially at full blast, but I could say that about any fan. Keeps the air cool, does a solid job without fail, and super easy to set up. If you have a strangely shaped window you may have to fumble with a bit of foam to make sure you get a full seal but it's the easiest portable air conditioner I've tried by far! Read more
