Carefully read the specs on the bulb, as it is not a full-sized bulb (A19), but a two-thirds-sized bulb (A15), made to go in a ceiling fan. It has the same-sized Medium base, as an A19, so they fit in the same sockets, but the bulb is MUCH smaller. In the picture, you see an A19 60w beside an A15 40w bulb. Both are 2850 Kelvin. Both are GE Reveal HD+ bulbs, with Medium bases. I put them side-by-side in the same fixture, and you can’t tell the light quality apart, only the brightness. The bulb itself it great! I love these Reveal HD+ LED bulbs! The quality of light is beautiful. I use them in the kitchen, bathrooms, and overhead in the bedrooms, as they throw a really accurate light spectrum, even though the are only 2850 Kelvin, near the Soft White range. So, for looking at clothes, make-up, etc., you have a much better view of what it will really look like, on average. Any lighting, cool white, daylight, soft white, all dramatically change our perceptions of color. The Reveal Home Depot+ are the best I’ve found, if how colors look really matter. Read more
