Edit Aug. 31, 2024, Absolutely no change in brightness or quality. These GE plug in ultra bright lights have been on for almost 2 years straight. Money well spent. Edit Oct. 10. 2023: Still going strong, no change after all this time. I haven’t touched them since the time I mentioned below. Excellent buy if you’re looking for a bright light. I’m actually about to purchase another set for my office where a low light night light isn’t cutting it. . 1st review Oct 2, 2022: I buy a lot of stuff on here with my own money but don't often feel compelled to leave a review. These GE Ultrabright LED night lights definitely deserve one, though. We moved into an older house that doesn't get a lot of light in the front rooms during the day, so you can imagine that it gets extremely dark at night. The hallway gets very little ambient light during the day from the other rooms. There are not a lot of electrical plugs and the hallway light is only accessible from the middle of the hallway. We definitely needed a good light source for the hallway and one for the living room for when we needed to walk around at night. I did a lot of research and buying of different auto shut off and off/on night lights that were too low light. They were ok for other uses but not for the hallway or living room. I finally found these night lights and bought them on November 2, 2021 and it is now October 5, 2022. These lights are still going strong with absolutely no issues. We use one in the hallway that I at first would turn off during the day. I gave up on that after a few days and just leave it on all day, every day, since there's nothing more "fun" than coming out of my office after dark while working from home into a pitch black hallway/house. This allows us to not ever have to turn on the hallway light unless we need a super bright light on, or have company over (only so they don't think we live in constant dimness, even though we do lol. We like it like that, ok??). The other night light is in the living room closest to a bay window and is on auto shut off mode. This one gets enough light to shut off during the day, plus it gives off a bright enough light at night where I can easily see to walk around and don't have to turn on the lamps. At first I thought they were too bright. I will say that if you are planning to use one of these in your bedroom or to have one in the hallway with the doors open, these might not be the lights for you. They are BRIGHT without being overhead light bright. We leave our bedroom door open, which took some getting used to for my partner. I, however, am not a fan of the pitch black dark, so I love them. I know nothing about how much electricity these use, though I would be interested in finding out. I don't think it's listed here on the page. However, our 1930s 3 bedroom home has the (updated) central air on blast throughout the summer and the heat goes strong throughout the winter but our electric bill is around what we expect. Just know that these lights are excellent if you're looking for BRIGHT soft white lighting at an excellent cost. Read more

Grabbed a 2-pack just in case. I don't know what kind of lifespan these things have, but GE has long been a reliable brand. These are marked as Made In Cambodia. As much as I quite fervently wish these were still made Stateside, I find myself not minding *Cambodia*. Usage case & specifics on why I got the 2-pack: Stuck this guy in the bathroom out of pure necessity, since whoever planned our apartment renovations thought it a good (!?) idea to install these high quality Leviton light switches with 10 minute *timers* on them in the *bathrooms*. Everywhere else, there are the standard extremely nice Leviton Decora style switches. It's been a bit perplexing. However, I do not wish to bother our already overworked but very good Maintenance guys with piffle such as swapping a bathroom switch with a hallway switch - where a timer MIGHT have been a slight bit more proper. I won't attempt to do this myself either, so I decided on the best possible alternative. As far as function and fit, this Big Ugly Fat Fellow of a night light went perfectly into the GFR power socket right under a corner of the new medicine cabinet. Switched to the middle Auto setting to test it, played a little Lightswitch Rave, and it works, er, brilliantly without hesitation or flicker. It is definitely very VERY bright for a "nightlight" in that it illuminates the entire bathroom quite effectively AND SAFELY enough for me to effortlessly see my way around without any feeling of uncertainty. Thus, if I'm grabbing myself a nice hot shower in the (preferred) evenings, I will not be placed at hazard by the accurst bathroom light timer... turning... off... the... main... freakin'... light. Finally: The sensor for this specific model is a light sensor & not a motion sensor, meaning my cat won't be able to play Lightswitch Rave by doing the old Lemmy In!/Lemmy Out! trick. Read more

The media could not be loaded. The GE LED ultra bright light bar is a great size, 5 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. It features on, off and auto mode. The auto function turns the light on automatically when it is dark and off in daylight. I chose this set because it has the option to have the light always stay on, which means it can be connected to a WiFi plug and programmed to turn on and off on a schedule. The set includes 2 light bars. I love having the option to leave one light on auto mode and the second one on a schedule. In addition to these great features the light bars are very bright and they light up a large area. Read more

BRIGHTER than I expected. I wanted a night light in my bathroom so I could see in the middle of the night without having to turn on the bright bathroom lights. This light bar has an ON, AUTO, and OFF button. I used the AUTO button in my bathroom, and the light NEVER turns off unless I turn on the bright bathroom lights. I do like that it doesn't shut off though so guests can enter into a lit bathroom and not a dark bathroom where they have to search for the lights. I mostly like it because the night light isn't so large that its space doesn't overhang into the second plug in the outlet. I can still use a USB Outlet Extender on the second plug for my fan, hair dryer, and vacuum without having to remove the night light. This night light is also LED and we don't have to replace the bulb all the time. I had the old-school night light and the bulb would break every time I bumped it. This night light is sturdier and will withstand bumping better. Plus it's supposed to use less wattage than our old (non-LED) light bulbs. At the time I ordered this night light, it was priced at $7.75 which is a reasonable and competitive price for a night light. If you want a BRIGHT night light, then this night light is for you. If you want a dim night light, then you may want to look elsewhere. Read more
