I've been wet shaving for over 10+ years, I am bald so I preform whole head wet shaving. Comes 5 to a box, Each blade is double wrapped but they are completely unbranded and generic looking. There is no print, not even a side A or B. First shave. NOT GOOD. It’s like dragging a dull knife thru sandpaper. I’ve properly hydrated the hairs before attempting a first pass. I apply extra soap and complete this shave, overall I am unimpressed. Second Shave. I dig into the box and pull out the 8th box of razors, crack them open for a fresh blade hoping that first box was just a bad batch. Same as before hot water, hydrate the hairs, lather up and I get a decent shave. No nicks or cuts, I would call this an acceptable shave. Towards the end of my shave I could feel the blade struggling a bit, so this is definitely a one time use blade. Final Thoughts: There are better smoother blades on the market. I was able to get a decent shave but I would not call my shave BBS (baby back smooth). Also these blades are a one and done, there is no longevity in the steel. These blades are mediocre at best. For these test I loaded this blade in my Merkur 23C (long handle / closed comb), using shave soap, with a shave brush, building lather by hand, and always warm water. Read more
