Great value for the money, easy to use, easy to read, highly portable. A family member was getting frequent and sustained nose bleeds this winter due to dry air. I have a humidifier on the furnace, but some of the living spaces were too dry. I placed several throughout the house to ensure the humidity was a bit higher by turning on humidifiers when it dropped. No more nose bleeds. Read more
Could not imagine why I needed three but guess what (?), I am using each of them! Interesting to see the changes in temps and humidity levels throughout this old house. I was concerned with condensation on my windows when outside temps were very low and found I was the problem! Thinking I needed more humidity I ran my humidifier almost constantly on low but still putting out more than I needed. Doctor suggested humidifier due to sinus issues but I overdid it. I got these to measure the temperature and humidity across the house. Wanted to see how they varied from one end of the house to the other. When I first opened them I put all three next to the house thermostat to see if they would all be within the same range and didn’t vary much. It took about an hour after I started them for all of them to get in sync with each other and the thermostat. They were within about one degree of the thermostat. I don’t have a way of checking humidity independently to check the accuracy. I’ve been monitoring them for a few weeks now and moving them between the different rooms to try to make sure they are all reporting correctly. So far they seem to be working well. And they have helped me to adjust my forced air to ensure even heat and humidity around the house. They do have a magnet but it is not very strong and does not hold the device up on a metal surface, it slides down. You can see in the pictures its size compared to a nickel. It doesn't advertise having a backlit, so if you need to read in the dark you will need light. For the money and what I use it for I’m happy with it. Read more

I got this 3 piece set of thermometers to monitor how well the heat was spreading around my house after getting a split mini heat\ac unit. I got thsee specifically because they run on AAA batteries for which I have a stash of rechargables that I use for all my gadgets - I'm not a fan of the watch batterys that most of the little digital thermometers use because they aren't rehargeable, cost way too much, are a pain to change and don't last near as long as a real battery. The little stand on the back of the thermometers works great for setting on dressers and tables, and the face is big enough so I can easily see the one that I set outside my kitchen window to monitor the temperature outside. The only small issue I have with them is the background is kind of dark green color which it makes the black numerals a little hard to read without having pretty good light on them. It would have been nice if they could have made the back color white but for the price of these they work fine for what I use them for. Having more than one saved me some money when I velcro-ed one to a cathederal cieling in order to tell the difference in temperature between the cieling and the floor to decide if I needed to buy a cieling fan to blow wasted hot air down to the floor or not. Turns out the temperature of the air on the cieling was almost the same as the floor so I skipped buying and installing a fan. Read more
