This unit was smaller than I expected it to be, but actually it’s plenty large enough for its purpose. Digits are easy to read. I installed the sensor outside underneath my deck, on one of the upper boards. Then I put the display unit in my kitchen, only about 12-15 feet away. At first I placed the display unit on my fridge using the magnetic backing, but when I did that the display disappeared. It says somewhere in the manual that putting it on a metal surface with the magnets may cause it to have problems receiving the signal from the sensor. So a no-go on that. I put it on my counter top and it receives just fine. The external sensor I just hung on a nail. VERY easy install!!! Hahahaha I like how this unit gives a readout of temp and humidity for indoors and outdoors, and also a “trend line” for each - is it rising, falling, or remaining fairly steady? That’s nice. Also, the readout on mine seems to be pretty accurate. Be aware that when you first install it, it will take some time (maybe 30 to 60 minutes) for the display to give accurate readings indoors. Takes times for the sensor to adjust, I guess. Ever since that initial period it’s been spot-on. Before looking these up on Amazon, I had no idea that these things even existed!! That is, external sensor sending wireless data to internal display unit. That is so cool!!! And amazingly inexpensive too. I’m so impressed, that after I do a residential move in the next year, I plan to get one of the higher-end weather stations, that does it all - temp, humidity, barometer, wind speed, rainfall amounts, etc. THAT will really be cool!!! But for now, this little device works just find for my needs. Read more

Gives a lot of information for the price. Easy to read even without the light. I have a family room that has a wood stove for the heat. I want to know the temperature of the room so i don't get it too hot and waste wood which is expensive. So I put the thermometer in that room and determine the temperature of when I should start the stove and how much wood I need to add maintain the temperature I want. Works great for that. Read more

These work well and are easy to read. I have tested in multiple locations and they quickly read the humidity level and seem to be very accurate. Read more

Therm Pro TP-65 REVIEW: My experiences with this Weather Station are pleasurable. It isn’t always within 2 degrees as description in the specs. It can get 4 degrees perhaps 5 degrees off the real temperature. On the other hand, it is within or around the 2 degree specs on this model many times. It does get right on the money on the temps at times. If you are after a thermometer that is 100 percent accurate then this model is not for you. However, if you are looking for a thermometer that is around the temperature and is usually around 2 degrees off the real temperature and can get 4-5 degrees off the real temperature at times then this thermometer station would be a good choice. My grading would be a B for the accuracy of this model. I do have the Therm Pro TP-65 and the Ambient Weather WS-11 Weather Stations and after testing both of them it seems at this time that both are very similar with accuracy. One is usually high as the other one is lower than each other. Keep in mind also, they are both around 2 degrees off the mark but can be at the real temperature. Throughout the day and night both are good thermometers and I would recommend both of them. On the other hand, I would select the Ambient Weather Station over the Therm Pro because of the extra features. In conclusion, I didn’t use online temperature to compare the real temperature results. I had at hand but not always able to use the red liquid thermometer and the Thermapen by ThermoWorks: model Mk4. Although the Thermapen isn’t a thermometer for air temperature it is always the same on my tests from the red liquid thermometer or about 1 degree from it. I do trust my Thermapen Thermometer because it always pass the cold ice test at 32 degrees and boiling water test at or very close to the 212 degrees (depends on your location for the 212 degrees for 212 degrees is for sea level). You can go back forth from cold to boiling water and the thermopen passes the tests. For cooking food the ThermWorks Thermopen Mk4 would be my recommendation for a good accurate food temperature. Is it good for air temperature? It wasn’t designed for air temperature however my tests show it is very close to my red liquid thermometer in my tests. At times the Weather Station measured by the red liquid thermometer is accurate many times and can be trusted for around this temperature thermometer. I look at it and know it can be off the mark so I consider it is mostly around 2 degrees off the mark can be on the mark and finally can be 3 degrees and not often over – 4 degrees – 5 degrees off the mark. Finally, I am happy with this Weather Station and I would recommend it for approximate temperature around 1-2 degrees maybe 3 degrees off the mark; at times can be 4 to 5 degrees off the real temperature. If you don’t get similar results, it depends on the method you are using for testing the thermometer for comparison. My method for testing my thermometers isn’t scientific and the final decision is yours but it does give references where it is close enough for me to consider for keeping a thermometer or returning it. I decided to keep both of my weather thermometers unless the results of the tests change dramatically in the next few weeks. I am almost finished with my tests and so far I would keep both thermometers. UPDATE: After further study the Ambient Weather W-11 Weather Station is a good buy – continue to be recommended to be accurate around 1-2 degrees and at times can be 3 degrees and perhaps 4-5 degrees off the mark here and there. The main reason to keep it is dependable to give a temperature that is useable information to decide what to do with the information – like approximate temperature – to decide what clothing to wear – is it humid or what the dew points is. I use it to give information for jogging and the information doesn’t have to be extremely accurate but I would like with decent accuracy. I have read other reviews here and perhaps the best solution is to try it for yourself and decide on how much accuracy does you want. Don’t get it if you want 100 percent accuracy because you will not get it most of the time. I get decent accuracy for my needs. Keep in mind, for the value it is unlikely you will get an extremely accurate device but it does serve a purpose of approximate temperatures with many useable features. The Therm-Pro TP-65 gives max-min temperatures for temperatures and humidity for indoors and outdoors. It is a decent Weather Station for daily temperatures and humidity and cost is reasonable. The Ambient Weather W-11 Weather Station would be better than the Therm Pro TP-65 for dew point for max-min temperature which is reset after the time you want it to be and many other features which are beneficial. Good luck picking one out. God bless your decision and enjoy the Weather Station. Return it if you don’t like it; I enjoy both the Ambient Weather W-11 and Therm Pro TP-65. Therm Pro TP-65 costs around $25.99 (doesn’t have all the extras) Ambient Weather WS-11 Weather Station: costs around $34.99 Thermapen® Mk4 costs around $99.99 (at times on sale for $79.99) UPDATE 2: October 13th, 2018 Recently I had a problem with accuracy with the ThermPro TP-65 and I reported it to the company and they sent a new one out and got it in a few days. Excellent customer service and now it is working properly as did the other one at first. Read more

This is a very good Item and it monitors the Humidity level, Temperature and also keeps the Highest and Lowest readings of both of those. I compared it to another one and readings were exactly the same. It was an eye opener to show thw amount of humidity i had in my home! I have now bought a dehumidifier from Amazon! It was very easy to use , size is perfect and the cost is well worth it! Read more

It’s small so it can be taken around easily. I like that it has magnets and a stand, so you can use it however you like. It works well, quality is good, doesn’t feel cheap. Love the backlight that’s allows you to see the temperature in dark rooms or at night. I’m still not certain about the accuracy, I got this because I wasn’t sure about the other thermapro thermometers I had, but it doesn’t feel like it’s accurate. I’ll have to do some more checks. Other than that, it does what it’s supposed to do and looks good too. No alerts yet, still using it for now. Read more
