Affordable and better than a cast.
Can't complain about the product - I slipped on ice and fractured my left ring finger. The recommendation from my GP was to do buddy taping with a splint to keep it straight as possible while healing because it's fractured close to the middle knuckle. Even though I could still move my finger and it wasn't painful (though really swollen) having a fracture heal the wrong way will cause more problems down the road. This product seemed to fit the bill and then some to prevent trouble later on. I like that it has 2 plates inside, one on top, one on the bottom, so if I twitch, the splint still keeps my finger in place. It also serves as protection in case I bump my hand into anything. I'm still able to use the other 3 fingers for twisting off caps, driving, etc., but just have to be mindful of its position so I don't mess with it. I haven't taken it off in 4 weeks, showering with it on while covered by a plastic bag over the splint, and keeping it dry. I'm also able to sleep with it on. I was able to adjust the velcro as needed for when the swelling went down and my finger wasn't taking up as much room. I have rather long fingers but went with a medium which worked out.
