Solid support and great working height.
First off, if you are tall you already know you need a tripod that is taller than most. I am 6'3" and this tripod is exactly what I've been looking for. When fully extended it is 62" tall. When you add a ball head it raises your camera body to eye level and then some. There are even times when I have had to retract part of the lower legs to get it to the correct height. This only makes it even more rigid. With no center column to extend it is rock solid when my D850 and 60-600mm lens is mounted on a gimbal head. If there is a negative it might be the 7 lbs. weight of the tripod, but that only adds to the stability of it. It may not be the perfect tripod to bring with you if you're hiking up the mountain, but for birding or landscape photography, it's hard to image a better choice, especially for this price. Read more
